Ambiance and candles*

Let us say we are talking about the ambiance of the place you sleep and not taking your first date. But I find that candles make a nice serene atmosphere before going to sleep. In return giving you the ability to relax and practice LD methods. What other things do Forum members use for their surroundings in their room? My friend got one of those dream catchers.

Well, decoration is my wifes thing. But, our bedroom has lots of plants and is nicely decorated in greens and whites. We have an old shaker style bed with curtains at the four corners. I also keep a white noise generator going when I sleep. It is cozy and very relaxing.

It is difficult to sleep without them. I keep the ceiling fan going in the summer to generate noise. On my 2nd honeymoon earlier this week, I didn't have it, so I popped an extra melatonin. I love our bed. It has the top is framed between the posts and there are three slats that go across from side to side. Great to hold on to

Candles are just a baaaaaaaaad idea, so many fires in the home start because of those.

I just moved a few months ago, and still in the process of decorating the place. I'm going to buy a new bed, and carpet and there's some damage on a wall so it needs to be repainted, and I'm going to have some boards on the wall to put my books on. (yay for having +300 good SF titles to read in the future) so right now its pretty boring, no posters etc yet.

Also I put them in a container to which if I passed out or forgot about them it would not matter. Scented ones - wheew they have some pretty nasty ones out there. CT- It still is probably cool getting to change the place how you want it. maybe you are not comfortable there yet, hence no lucid dreams. Maybe.

Hmmm sure... I don't do anything special. Just make sure my curtains are not drawn so the sunlight will wake me. (My window faces the east)

the only stipulation i have is that my windows must be open. -- the best dreams i've ever had were while out camping under the stars... i think the crisp air really makes the dream senses go wild.

That makes sense Adidas, fresh air invigorates the mind. I need to try sleeping with the window open more, spring is the perfect time to do it anyways.

I used to sleep in total silence but now i am addicted to having that constent sound at night. It is very relaxing. Another thing i do is put a pillow over my head.... yeah i know it sounds weird but when i get cold it warms my ears and well i just got used to it. Candles are a nice idea and I'll have to try it. Anything to set a mood for great dreams right!

don't worry, you're not weird; i do the pillow thing in the mornings when i'm being lazy. it works well to keep out noise and light.

my room is a friggen mess, the only time i ever go down there is to sleep. I can go to sleep with music, complete silence, or the tv blairing upstairs.
