I had a very brief period of lucidity during a nap this afternoon. I think it's kind of funny, but sex is one of my dream signs. When I'm not in a relationship, and I find myself having sex, it's a pretty good sign I'm dreaming! (Anyone else feel that way? ) So anyway, I'm having sex with this woman, and I think "I wonder if I'm dreaming?" As I thought this, the dream started fading. To stay in the dream, I reached out and held onto the woman, except she had already started to disappear. So I could feel her, but see nothing. It was a cool feeling of physically holding on to the dream itself. I did a funny reality check - looked at my hand, and it only had one finger. I lost lucidity pretty quickly, when I walked through a door and woke up.

I've had this experience before, where transitions in dreams seem to occur in some void. It makes me think of driving a car off the track in some old video games. You take a video game that takes place on a race track, and the designers put stands in the background, and some trees and mountains. But if you drive off the track the trees don't have trunks and the mountains don't have bases, and you see nothing. In my dreams, it's more a feeling of existing in some featureless void than a feeling of having my eyes closed. It's not black, it's just that there's nothing around to see. Do others experience these voids, or anything similar?
The new evolutionary paradigm will give us the human traits of truth, of loyalty, of justice, of freedom. These will be the manifestations of the new evolution. And that is what we would hope to see from this. That would be nice.

I've often experienced the sensation of not being able to see anything as a dream fades, or, occasionally, during a transition. It's different than you described though. Often, it happens as my dream is ending, and instead of the feeling that there's nothing to see, I feel like my eyes are closed and I can't open them. Or more like my body doesn't want to open them.

Transitions more often occure as memmory lapses for me... One dream scene fades into a lack of anything interesting, and then I find myself somewhere else.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.
