Hey, this is basically the recall of a recent dream (condensed):

I was going to a friend's house to sleep over for a night. When there, I went to sleep and dreamed I was at this place which for some reason I have a feeling to refer to as a 'Lucid dreaming training center'. Anyway, I went to this big box-holder thing and grabbed a pair of pants (hey, it's a dream! ) and then noticed people flying around. Then, I decided to fly with them, as it was a lucid dream, and did so. Then I woke up, then I woke up again for real.[/b]
Okay, the thing about this is that I don''t really feel like I was consciously making decisions in that dream. This is the second dream where I decide to go ahead to do something that can only be done in lucid dreams. Yet, at the same time, I know I would'nt really act the way I did, and that flying, for example, wasn't what I had decided to do. Plus, it feels like a dream, not an experience.

So, anyway, technically it's a lucid dream but it sure doesn't seem so. Any ideas about this?

Well it was a lucid dream as you knew you were dreaming.

It justs seems that it wasn't very vivid and you didn't have much control.

It's just, from what I've read, lucid dreams can be very vivid and are like you actually did do them. This seemed like a vague recollection of a dream, not something I actually did.

Is there a way next time to make sure I become more lucid?

Lots of first lucids seem to be quite vague. Next time spend a short time just concentrating on getting more control and try rubbing your hands, doing RCs ect.

No, it's just that I was NOT conscience whatsoever. I just basically went on with the dream, so I had NO control over my actions.

However, I am going to try saying that, putting out that intention, just before I goto sleep. Thanks for the info!

My dream last night was a bit like that. I did make descisions although I don't actually recall making them myself...
I suppose that's what happened with yours also. It's a weird feeling too though. Some things you want happen but then it goes wrong and it finished scarily lol. So that would mean I had little control am I right?

Yeah, it ws a lucid dream, and I know what exactly the thing you are asking about. Of course, the answer is DREAM CONTROL.

I have had lucid dreams where I actually conciously make mytself go the opposite way, and these feel like experiences. When I have no dream control, usually I rank down to a low level of lucidity. It is this low level lucidity that affects how you remember your dream in waking life. High level lucidity changes the dream from ALTERED DREAM to EXPERIENCE. And yes, experiences are awesome.

Good luck!

Hmmm... I only had 1 LD yet, but in it, when I became lucid, it was a really intense feeling.
It was like: This is strange a bit..... wait a minute BAM I'm in a dream, and I know about it!
But it only lasted for something like 10-15 secinds, with a FA in it.
