      Hi all,
I am wondering if somebody could help me in the following matter: On a internetpage that deals about lucid dreaming I encountered a paragraph I don't really understand. I already contacted the owner via email, but there was no response so far. So maybe someone here understands what the author means and could explain it a bit to me.
Ok, the site address is http://www.dreams.ca/ and the paragraph can be found here:
http://www.dreams.ca/lucid_techniques.htm. It's the last paragraph I don't get: "Keep your life in balance".
Especially I have the following questions:
      - What does the author mean by "subtle energies", "ideology" and "realizations"?
      - Why does he discourage the approach "as-much-lucidity-as-possible-as-fast-as-possible"?
      - How can those "subtle energies", "ideology" and "realizations" bring imbalance
      into one's live?

I would be greatful for any suggestions.

      Best regards,
      LucidCadet

      Hi,
I understand him as: "don't live for lucid dreaming". But I'm realy bad at understanding things.
-The first question: I think that with those words he means everything you feel and the way you change after a LD.
-He probably discurages that aproach maby because he means that there would be much more failed LDs, if you wanted too much right away.
-Maby because the feeling of unlimited power in LD can bring some people to living for lucid dreaming. Like the Dream views introduction says: "...lucid dreaming should not be used to escape from reality. I cannot stress that enough—there is a real world out there, and lucid dreaming is best used both as a recreational activity and to aid in personal development; lucid dreams should not be used as a vehicle to displace reality. Seven or eight hours of sleep per night is enough—don’t sleep your life away."
