      persecution because I have LDs

has anyone experienced persecution because you have had or are trying to have LDs? I got in a big fight with my parents because they do not want me to get into the spiritual realm.

The thing is, I am not even getting into the spiritual realm of LDs (I don't want to, even if there is a spiritual realm). I am just doing it for fun.

what have ya'll done in similar situations?

I am respecting them, but how do I tell them that LDs aren't spiritual, they are just in the mind?

Tell them its basicly just dreaming, except you know your dreaming while it happens. Everyone dreams, ask them whats the harm in knowing about it.

Or you could just not tell them, they not going to know the difference.

How is knowing you are dreaming spiritual in any way? I don't understand how LD'ing could be misconstued so seriously. Lucid Dreams are just for fun; are we creating some sort of cult?

Of course we're creating a cult. Anything different, or unheard of, is obviously a cult I just wouldnt tell them. Meh. No wait, I would tell them, I'd tell them alllllll about it. Cause they cant stop you from sleeping. Thats like..child abuse or something.
If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh? If you poison us do we not die? And if you wrong us shall we not revenge?

That's insane! It reminds me of people who are conservative beyond belief. Such that they will not allow you to think of any new ideas or anything. People, blind to the world...
They dont want you to become higher then they are. Well, I may rant forever about it

LD's have a very deep spiritual meaning. Because everything is possible.
Fun is just the top layer. Like a kid, you learn about the world through fun and games. same with LD's...
you can get all the answers you want in a LD...

I don't tell anyone about Lucid dreaming, for this very reason... I just tell them I'm really into dreams, and keep a journal because I like them so much. The concept of lucid dreams freak some people out because it does sound spiritually out there, kind of...

I haven't told my parents about LDing because they'd prolly think i was in some cult... at least that's what they said about my sister when she became a vegan.

I think that some people are superstiscious...not open to new ideas, or just plain paranoid.
I guess it would a lot of religious people...but if they come out with that, tell them that God invented it for their enjoyment.

I told my mom about lucid dreaming, and at first she was a little bit concerned about it, and wasn't sure if it was real or not. Then I had a couple of lucid dreams and was like, "Hah! I told you lucid dreaming is real, and now I know for a fact that I'm right!"

Now she believes me, and has even offered to drive me to the bookstore to pick up EWLD.
