Hey there, I just thought i'd mention i'm a programmer, and here's the deal...since I haven't seen much else available, here's what i'm thinking...i'll make us an EXCLUSIVE DreamViews Dream Journal application, and i'm thinkin $10 a copy sounds reasonable...wouldn't you agree? Anyway, I already have in mind basically what to do, but if you think you have any cool suggestions towards what you would like me to include, or if you simply want to put your name down for a copy just post here, or send me a PM. I'm really hoping I can make this into a really cool application...and btw it'll ONLY be offered here at Dreamviews...no other site will get their hands on it, and I wont advertize it anywhere else...it could be a good way to get more members here, all i'm asking for is the $10 as of now, because I do need to make SOME money. Once I make what I need, i'll make it freeware for everyone to enjoy!

Make it with a 30 day trial, you might be luckier. Anyways, good idea. Some things I would reccommend is having it kinda like notepad, but with the ability to do settings on color, font, and size, and then when you're writing quickly be able to change modes. So if you want lucid parts to be orange, non-lucid red, commentary green, and dreemsigns blue, then you could quickly just go on a little scrollbar or icons kinda thing, and pick your setting, and then keep right on typing without having to go through color picker or something every time.

Another suggestion, I'm sorry if you've thought of this
[and btw, I wouldn't be able to buy it =( nothin' over the internet.. ]
      Tabs.
I use livejournal, and it has this little "tabs" option, and I use it to write down things seen in my dream - "cat, mom, school", etc. It really makes it easier to look at dream signs or re-occuring objects..

why would people pay you $10 when they can use Notepad? And this application does not sound too advanced and it should not take a decent programmer more then an hour or two to write. Why not just make a freeware right away and be considered as a nice guy instead of a greedy guy who wants to profit from very little work?

This site is free and there has been alot of work on it. You should follow the same example. If people enjoy your application you can have a donation link available for those who would want to pay you some for it.

I was abou to recommend Advanced Diary which is what I used (in preference to anything I have coded - which was free btw) whenever I decide to start another DJ for two days and then leave it to gather electronic dust.

However, although when I downloaded it a year ago it was freeware, and good freeware at that, now you'll have to pay for it.

Shame that, but the good news is: capitalism works, so just put up with it.
