i got into lucid dreaming with that animated move where they use rotoscoping for all the animation, i believe it was called waking life, about a year ago. i jumped into it head first and after a month or so had two lucid dreams. in both these ld's, the second i became lucid, all i wanted to do was have sex with the nearest girl (i am of course a boy) and so i would. has anyone else had this problem? i would like to try different stuff, i mean sex is great and all, but i would like to broaden my ld experiences. i know it says a lot about me that the second i am in an environment with no limitations or consiquesnces i instantly go to sex, and not always at the participants leasure, it bothers me and would like to explore my dreams more indepth. any advise-slash-input would be greatly appreciated!

[edit] i am 21 and very sexually energetic, as it comes with the age, and sexually active. hope this might help shed some more light

Masturbate before sleep. If you already do, then you should write down the goals and things you want to achieve/do in your dream journal before going to sleep and make it your intention to explore the dream world and do other things. You can repeat an affirmation as you fall asleep "I will remember my goals in my Lucid Dream" or something like that.

Now here is Nowhere

I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.

idofex, I have the same problem. Like you I worry about what this means, but it's like I forget all the things I really want to do and go for sex with the nearest available half-way acceptable and willing DC. Maybe it's just a lack of imagination, I don't know. It's not a lack of sex IRL. I get so mad at myself. The only thing that has helped me is to focus on the lucid task of the month; I have tried to make up my own tasks, but even that hasn't worked very well. But for some reason concentrating on doing the assigned task helps me focus on something other than sex. I hope that with time I will be able to do the all those other things I want to do in lucid dreams. With all infinity to explore, I don't know why our minds turn again and again to a basic physical act. On the other, hand you can have a lot of fun...but I totally understand, I want to move on to other things too and have more control and fly around the universe and do creative things and stuff like other people do.

I don't know if that helps, but I do sympathize.

Don't worry a whole lot about it, you are pumped full of hormones at this point in your life. Just kind of go with the flow and stop beating yourself up.

Trust me, it will get better

I'm at the point where I would rather fly than have sex.

Well yea, me too, that's the problem!

SEeker, how long did it take you to reach the level of control that you have now? Did you continue to progress over along period of time?

... and this is a problem because? Don't worry about it.. I suppose dream sex is the safest sex of all.. although I'd say the waking version is definitely more fulfilling and more fun!

1. Stop thinking that you can't control your own mind. Regardless of hormones, You are a MIND with a BODY. not a BODY with a MIND. Stop telling yourself that you always want to have sex, and will dream about sex, because subconciously you are believing it.
2. Focus on flying! Everytime you think of sex, think of ditching the person, running outside of the building, naked or clothed, and flying in the air while showing your huge junk to a million people, lol
3. You have convinced yourself that you want to have sex in your lucid dreams. Maybe conciouslly you are leaning towards something else, but subconciously your horny =P, so tell yourself "Flying is better then Sex." "I want to fly." etc etc! In your lucid dream you'll connect SEX with FLYING and thus will remember. Make sense?
4. Clear your mind before sleeping! You should have enough will power to focus on flying, or riding a motorcylce, visualize something else then naked women! Topless Women! LOL. but seriously, think of what it would be like to be superman! Clear your mind with breathing excercises!

Try it?

Or you can scare yourself out of it? Think, "If I have sex I'll die a painful death!" lol. Kidding, I dunno you dating someone and are you intimnt? I'm a girl but I find males tend to have dreams like that more often. It could be your age, you know the hormones are flowing.

If you think you're gonna fail at avoiding it though, you will. keep a positive attitude.

Or, think of it this way. Sex: you'll have it in real life. Flying like a bird: not gonna happen anytime soon in real life. So, think, motiviate yourself. Tell yourself, "I can have sex anytime, right now I need to fly because that's a once in a life time experience"

Meh, let sex happen. Like someone above said, it's the safest sex of all.
Maybe after a while you'll tire of lucid sex and decide to try something more adventurous.

i think what he's trying to say is that he is tired of lucid sex, but he can't stop anyways! he's bored of always having sex in his lucids, and wants to try something productive (like finding out the meaning of life, or something).

here's my thing. in every single one of my LDs, barring like 1 or 2, i've had sex. no matter how hard i've tried not to, it always ended up happening (i, too, am an adolescent male), so just stop avoiding it. i doubt you're going to be able to stop soon, so what i've done is just tried to keep the dream going AFTER the sex. that way you can be satisfied or whatever in the dream and then once you're done you can go about trying to conjure things in your hand or ask god questions or whatever you would like to do.

Now I think that is a good suggestion. I don't think I've really realized this before, but I do usually wake up right after.

Lol... I either immediately seek out a female in my Lucid Dreams, or just wander around aimlessly thinking...." wow look how vivid that is", or "what a cool sky".... I really need to work on dream control now that I have getting into a Lucid Dream taken care of. Lucid Sex always wakes me up, and like it has been said....it's a waste of time.... Especially if you get enough in real life.

Eh, I might due to being still a virgin at 17 and never been kissed by a girl before. >_> I'm not large and inatterctive or a total geek. I moved from school to school with at least in a 2 year bounch or once a year from the 1 to 9th grade. Its kind of hard to start a new group of friends let alone meeting a new girl. XD

Also it kind of makes i tharder when your sort of islolated in a special ed class room for autism. ^_^ (I have nothing agenst it, thats just what happens in general.)

I would say that you should relieve your "sexual tension/need" by m*stur****** or actually having s*x

Sorry I don't know whether "explicit" language was allowed so I thought I should censor it... It isn't very "explicit" in my opinion though.

Just learn how do apply the technique called "the flying monkey" grab Toto by the neck and fly to Oz my boy!

Just a joke. But maybe when you are envisioning sex in your dreams you might try incorporating floating or flying along with the sex. Also recurrent themes in dreams are good. Use that as a tool for further exploration, a cue if you will to use as a launching pad into other areas of the dream world.

I would not fight all out against your dreams. Learn from them. They are there to tell you something and sometimes the apparent is not what the dream is trying to get across. (if your not getting the dreams meaning then it may be recurring for that very reason). You assume that from your age that it is just a young dude thing. Maybe or maybe not. Listen and be aware as books (like dreams) are more than their titles or cover art.

If you are having lucid dreams then fantastic! Bend your dreams but don't break them. Work toward your goal through the dreams that you are having. Don't get frustrated by your dreams as this may manifest itself and be a negative in your growth of LD.

Many here would love to have your problem!
In the process of realizing the dream, abandon all feeling of fear; And, if the dream be of fire, transform the fire into water, the antidote of fire. And if the dream be of minute objects, transform them into large objects; Or if the dream be of large objects, transform them into small objects: Thereby one comprehendeth the nature of dimensions.
And if the dream be of a single thing, transform it into many things; Or if the dream be of many things, transform them into a single thing. - Tibet
