Well I haven't been trying much at all for the whole lucid thing. However I just recently (like since this past weekend) started frequenting the forum again and lo and behold out of nowhere I have a lucid dream, after all this time without success. I was taking a nap in my car before my 7:00 pm Biology class so a couple of hours before hand I parked my car and went to sleep. In the dream I was pretty much in the same area as my car, except it had all those vague differences as it was a dream version. It took me awhile to realize it but I finally realized what was going on so I just started doing simple things like walking where I wanted too. I didn't have complete control but it was more than I had ever had in any other dream. Periodically I would end up confusing the dream with reality though. In one example of that I told some guy that was driving around in a military humvee that I saw him in a lucid dream I had because I was wondering if I saw a real person in a dream, though he said he didn't remember ever meeting me. Of coure it actually yurned out that I was still in a dream. I awoke a little every now and then to look at the time on my CD player and it seemed as if 5 minutes would pass after having been in a pretty long dream. It was quite a wonderful, if not disorienting experience though. |

Congrats, Merck! |

Well I didn't have much of any recall either but I've found that its easier to recall dreams from short hour long or hour and a half long naps. I guess maybe that is the only method I can work with for now. Perhaps once I gain a better understanding of the dream world I will be able to recognize it better. |
