First I’ll give a little introduction about my lucid experience…

I’ve been reading this site for a few months now but have never posted. I’ve been lucid dreaming for as long as I remember, I’ve been having about 2 or 3 a week since I was a child (I’m 20 yrs old now). As a kid I used to think this was normal and would ask other kids if they did it buy none of them seemed to know what I was talking about. Now I pretty much keep it to myself and don’t tell or ask others if they have the ability.

I can generally keep a lucid dream going for quite a while, it’s like a balancing act, you have be conscious enough to not forget that you are in a dream but if you get overly conscious it’s easy to wake up.

I did a little search on the internet about lucid dreaming and that’s what brought me to this site. I’ve gotten many great ideas from reading people posts on here, last week in a lucid dream I transformed myself into my dog (this was my first time turning myself into an animal). It may seem silly but it seems like I now better understand how my dog thinks and (I would NEVER tell anyone this in the real world for fear of them looking at me like I’m a psycho).

Anyways, I said all that to get to this...

Sometimes when I’m lucid dreaming my eyes start to open and I am still in a lucid dream but I can see a little of the real world (my room).
Three times in the past week I have been in a lucid dream and my eyes have opened ALL the way. The first time really scared me. I was laying in my bed and my eyes opened. It’s really hard to explain but I was still asleep but my eyes were open and I was looking in my roomy. I tried to move my arm but it would not budge, NOTHING would move, my fingers, legs, or head. I can see out of the corner of my eye my roommate in the bathroom and I heard him in there. I tried to yell for him to come wake me up but the works would not come out, it was only a VERY quite whisper. I started to get nervous because this had never happened to me before, I know I was still asleep but my eyes were open and I was conscious of what was going on around me. I kept trying to yell and finally I tried to yell help and it got louder and louder when my roommate walked over andI awoke completely. I told him what happened (that I was asleep but awake at the same time and I could not get control of any part of my body). He told me he thought I should go see a doctor. Well the next 2 ways the exact same thing happened except this time I did not get worried and just laid there. This was definitely the weirdest sensation I have ever experienced.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?
