If we dream many times during the night and only remember a few on them morning then who's to say that we can't forget lucid dreams? Sure we are aware that we're dreaming but that doesn't mean it's not possible for it to be erased from our mind, does it?

We can forget them. If you don't have a good dream recall there is a very good chance you will forget your lucid experiences. sad i know. =[

I'm sure there are tons of LDs I've forgotten. Good recall really is the key to LDing - what's the point if you don't remember it, right?

However, if I didnt, how would I know I had forgotten one?

What I mean is when we wake up in the morning, is it possible that we could have had a lucid dream but not remembered it? Does that make it any clearer, it's really hard to get across what you mean when the subject is lucid dreaming.

And sorry I keep posting in the wrong sections. I'll behave!

I've forgotten about a lucid dream before. i woke up, recorded a few non-LD's but then a couple of days later i remembered that i had a WILD earlier that night. It started me worrying a bit thinking how many LD's i may have forgotten!!

A good practice for hardcore recall is to recall your dreams every time you wake up from a dreaming period, a number of times each night, not just in the morning. But i'm usually too groggy and comfortable to use my eyes and hand to write. Its so hard when you're soooo comfortable and cosy!!

I know I forgot an LD because I woke up right after and remembered it in the middle of the night, but I was too lazy to write it down, and then by morning the details were gone, just like a regular dream that you sort of half-remember, but slips away even as you are thinking about it. All I remembered was that at the time I thought it was my best longest one yet.

Also, once in the morning after I woke something reminded me of a dream I had the night before, and then suddenly this whole lucid dream I had came back to me. So I could potentially have never remembered that one.

So I'm sure I've had them and forgotten them.
