wow, i had a horrible night of sleep last night. tossing and turning all night and waking up frequently.

i felt the old hag pressing on my chest at least 10 times last night. Normally id be happy, cause i could try and wild from that, but this pressure was more intense than ever before.

It really felt like hundreds of pounds on my chest, when usually its just a slight pressure.

has anyone ever felt so much pressure that you were concerned for your health?

it really hurt my chest alot
      am i dreaming?

      Yeah I feel for you...

I remember once I thought I could outsmart the hag by placing an extra pillow on top of my chest, and it felt like it just sat on top of the pillow and pushed harder. However, once I was able to split from frozen body, and the lucid began - the pressure ceased.

Wow, that sucks to have a night long struggle. Have you tried putting a tennis ball in bed to prevent you from rolling onto your back?

I've had SP pressure over my entire body, like I was being pulled or weight down, and waves of tingling over my head/shoulders. Thought I was having a stroke or something.

SP has always been quite noticeable physically for myself , but for a month or so, it became almost unbearable, to the point where i would fear for my health.

it wrecked the opportunity for many successful WILDS.

eventually i got frustrated and vowed to stay calm, and above all stay still the next time.

      which i did.

the WILD was quicker to arrive than most, and ever since then i have been able to real-ize that i am safe, no matter how fucked up the onset of sleep may feel.

it is almost certain that no injury will be incurred if you force yourself to work with these sensations. i've never heard of anyone being hurt, no matter how intense or disconcerting such feelings can be.

in fact, as WILD is my favourite means of LDing, i've found that personally the more intense the SP vibrations, the greater ease of slipping into a full dream, provided i retain a clear, alert mind in which the only thought is one of PASSIVE AWARENESS.

      good luck.

I always sleep on my front, so I've never experienced chest pressure, but once in a WILd it felt like I had several prime Sumo's sitting on my back, pushing me into the bed.

It was constricting, but I can't say it hurt.

Acetyl-choline, numbs the spine, more likely to occur in effect while one is supine, resulting in full-body incapacitation coupled with potential nightmarish elements. Sleep on your sides guys. That won't fix it all the time, especially if you're exhausted, but being on your back is a sure-fire way to invite the Hag...and she is no fun at all.
