I have had about 2 lucid dreams now, and the second clearer than the first, but I still do not have full control, its sortof like a half control of it... Anyway I was thinking, does anyone think it would be possible to talk to your sub concious, and teach it things like how to think in certain situations etc, because to do that normally takes a very long time of doing the same thing over and over again in order to put it into your sub concious...

Also I love guitar alot and i want to elarn to play like slash of guns n roses, do you think that I could make him appear and teach me his style of guitar? He would be a form of my creation, and his knowledge would be made from all of the songs I have heard him play over the years. Essentially, putting all the information in my mind on him into a talking form....

Are things like this possible with practise and control?

I think if you become lucid, and make a point to "talk to your subconcious" that you should recognize dreaming easier, it should work.

I find Waking Life and the Dream World almost like two different worlds, so I think that in the DW, the more you do to tell yourself it's a dream, the better you'll get at it. LDs should become easier, longer, and more vivid.

Now as far as trying to learn to play like Slash, all I have to say is this...

Son, set your sights a little higher. For example:

      Michael Romeo
      Yngwie Malmsteen
      Steve Vai
      Stevie Ray Vaughn
      Vinnie Moore

(Notice Eddie Van Halen is NOT on the list)

I think if you picked up Symphony X's "V" album, you'd forget all about Slash. If you like NeoClassical rock that is... When I first got that CD, it blew me away and actually forget about Malmsteen..

ummmm you may or may not of heard of this but if you want more control and clarity.
      Either:
      1)Rub your hands together
      2)Stare at your hands
      3)Spin around
      4) SHOUT "CLARITY!"

Trust me this technique is often overlooked but VERY usefull for more control

I've never used any of these techniques until last night when I had my first WILD. I found looking at my hands cleared things up great. It worked twice. The next time I forgot to do it because I was... ummm.. busy.. lol

It's just like summoning Einstein and ask him questions. The answer is yes. You can summon your guitarist idol person, you can ask him his style, but he'd probably just spout out some weird crap, that you'd either forget or you'll realise that you once you wake up, the style he told you of makes no sense

Or worse yet, start playing the awful riff from sweet child o mine. lol... I had a neighbor in the dorms in college where that was all he "tried" to play. I was like "Take some lessons!!" or at least play stairway to heaven. Anyone can do that... lol

Um thanks guys but i didnt ask to get more clarity lol. Two guys did answer my question so thanks. Oh and to the guy that told me to set my sights higher, I no all of them and they are great, but i like his style, the way he vibratos and all that, I no what I want basically!!! and sweet child o mine is cool! the way it builds up up and up to the second half of the solo and then everything stops at the where do we go part... ANYWAY this is a lucid dreaming forum not a music contest so i'll stop...

      Shot guys
