Have not had LD for weeks now :( WHY!!

Hows it going all...Since finding this site, I've been thinking more about LD'ing than ever. I can normally remember my dreams very clearly every night. The last time I was lucid was about 3 weeks ago and it was only for about 1 minute My dream signal is when I get in to fights with loads of other blokes, and then there is just poor little me. I always think...WAIT - I must be dreaming, followed on by completely decking all of the people in my dream. But I woke up fairly soon after that. Didnt even get a chance to fly dammit! I'm just on here having a bit of a moan i guess. I'm going to try getting more sleep. A few times, I've tried setting my computer to play a sound at abotut 4am which I hoped I would hear in my dream but that hasnt worked as yet...Arghh! I just wake up in the morning to the sound of people logging in to MSN, lol. Still I have a list of things which I am to do next time I am lucid:
      1) Look at my hands and see how clear they are, then shout "Higher lucidity" or "FOCUS" as I've never tried that.
      2) Fly into space... I got so close last time but someone on the edge of space stopped me!
      3) Zanzoken. Finally I have a way to superspeed in dreams.
      4) Walk through a mirror - I've heard a few people mention this. May as well do this for the crack eh!

      Laters all
Lucid at least once a week, mainly on weekends.

Are you using a dream journal?
I personally find that just having LD on your mind doesn't work by itself. For some reason I have to write it down ?

And maybe try some WILD... works well for some

Just some thoughts .. use them .. or dont

      Dream Journal

Yes I started a dream journal but didnt find this helped me at all. I remember them well anyway, but hey, if it could possibly help, then I am going to continue it.
Also, I have not really tried many WILDs but I think I am going to start them also. Anything that may help eh.
      I'll keep ou posted

Oh man, that sucks! I had a two week dry spell one time, everyone seems to have them.

All I can say is just keep on working at it. At the end of that one dry spell, I have three very long and vivid LDs.

      Maybe you will tonight!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      Yeah.. the dry spells happen.
I've been really stressed out at work and stopped my journal - so haven't had a LD in over a week
      Also frustrated!!

I found a technique that seems to ward off dry spells :

for a few days I'm very actively participating in this forum, and seek info on LDs.

Then I let myself "cool off", occupying myself by a very addictive stuff= computer games.

After 3-4 days I enter "neutral stage" = I do some gaming and some reading.

Throughout my gaming and neutral stages, I have lots and lots of lucid dreams.

Then I enter "learning " phase again, post my dreams, post on the forum and then repeat the cycle...

To summarize: when you think about LDs a lot, read a lot , try it every night, you are "charging" your mind. But you dont have LDs during charging phase.
You actually have to let go, and a host of LDs will come to you with little effort.
Then you run out of "charge" you repeat the procedure...
