hey, sorry for making loads of threads, i'm just very curious, do reality checks work? i get very annoyed because when i'm dreaming there is nothing telling me that i'm not dreaming. I wake up in the morning thinking. " why didn't i know that i was dreaming!!". i have an idea for a reality check, i have a watch that doesn't work and its stuck on 3:00, should i keep wearing this watch and check it everytime i go through a door and maybe in a dream when i go through a door i will look at my watch "if this doesn't trigger me to realise its a dream then hopefully the watch will be working in my dream and it will make me realise" or maybe there won't be a watch on my wrist" what reality check would you suggest that i can stick to easily? thanks alot

PS. this is probably nothing but on rare occasions when i go to bed i will be trying to fall asleep and i will move my leg slightly without realising and i feel asthought i've just fallen off a cliff, it scares me sometimes, its asthough i'm on border between reality and the dream world.

ok kewl, i'm going to try and have a lucid dream tonight, i got a method that i thought of about an hour ago, its rough but i'm gonna try it.

Step 1 - Get into bed, keep eyes open but don't force them, listen to the song that makes you feel most relaxed.

Step 2 - Whilst listening to that song imagine you are on lying on a beach with a cool breeze from the sea, look up at the sky and visualize your mind clearing of stress and thoughts that could divert you from havng a lucid dream.

Step 3 - Once the song is over you should hopefully feel relaxed and slightly tired, now visualize what you want to dream about, tell your brain that all you want to have is a lucid dream, close your eyes still holding the thought of having a lucid dream, keep concentrating hard on your goal.

Step 4 - Hopefully by now you have fallen asleep and hopefully carried that concious thought into the dream with you.

Its a long shot but i'm going to try it tonight! it's probably a crap method and won't work but if it does fail then i will continue to dream recall and do rc's

      RCs that work well -
Digital and normal clocks. As you look at them they change unpredictably. Sometimes it takes a couple glances to notice the change. This triggers instant lucidity
