If so would this work if i did it.
1. Go to bed at 12 midnight, set my alarm for a time just before my next REM period
2. Wake up and keep my eyes closed and concentrate on dreaming about something which you think will trigger you to do a reality check.
3. Then ride the slumber train to dream world
4. I do a reality chec in the dream, become lucid.
5. Increase the lucidity without waking up <<<<<<(whats the best way to do this?)
6. Enjoy a great lucid dream
any feedback would be awesome guys, thanks alot in advance

Hi lucid,
Hmm, what you said may work, but you might wanna try shifiting it a little bit (you don't have to). I think what you should do, (this gave me my first lucid dream) is wake after about 6 hours or (5), (I'm not sure what time that is if you go to bed at 12, but find a time closer to morning where you have more solid REM time (if you get up at 6:30 shoot for somewhere like 5:45 maybe or somewhere around there). I don't do WBTB but I think if you do what you said, (focus on thoughts that will make you think of reality checks), (don't feel "Oh I have to do reality checks, maybe think of it indirectly like, hmm imm gonna go to sleep thinking of which reality check is the best")while MILDing and telling yourself, "In the next dream I have, I will become Lucid" and truly beleiving you have the ability to lucid dream you have a good chance.
One thing though, don't set your goals too high while beggining, because this will probably end up discouraging you.
Even if you just gain lucidity and wake up immediately after, this is an accomplishment, and you can work from there. (one step at a time)
By the way, I find that when I go to sleep wanting to LD I become anxious that I won't be able to, so I sit there and calm myself and tell myself "I've done it before I have to beleive I can do it again" and I go to bed with confidence (even if I don't LD that night, I find I can reach that confidence by thinkig of my past experiences) (also review these in your head a little while going to bed to remember how they felt)
Anyway aside from that, try what I said. One more thing I've noticed is that when I set my alarm clock to go of and hit "snooze", I actually still see some dream imagery coming back as i fall asleep, kind of like a mini WILD (this could be a small gateway as well).
We'll talk soon, try again, but don't get discouraged(I'm saying that to myself as well)
Sorry if I overwhelmed you there with ideas but just try a few and see how it goes, there's no rush.
