      I think the REM schedual is as follows

      -Go to bed, setting an alarm 4 hours and 30 minutes into it. Then every 90 min after that.

      So say you go to bed at 10 pm.

      -First alarm = 2:30 am
      -Second = 4:00 am
      -Third = 5:30 am
      etc
      WBTBs = 5
      DILDs = 17
      WILDs = 2
      DEILDs = 3
      MILDs = 12

      Total Lucid Dreams = 38
      Last LD = 02/21/08

      ok, i usually wake up from my lucid when it's over, so i might let myself wake up by myself, but i will try that, im just not sure if i should do a fild, use the audio thing that repeats to do a reality check and says im dreaming and stuff, or both, any suggestions? i've never done the audio before so it's kind of experimental, but i want to do the one or both that'll give me the most chance of being lucid.

      I think that you should do the MILD technique after waking up from each of the REM alarms.

      It's what Stephen Laberge used to have lucid dreams at will. Even if you don't get a lucid dream during one of the REM cycles, you still have like 3 - 4 more chances in the next cycle so you can't lose.

      Just wake up, record your dream in your dream journal, go to the bathroom and do whatever you need to do, then come back to bed and practice the MILD technique until you're asleep. It's easy. The only hard thing is willing yourself to wake up and write your dream down instead of just falling asleep since you'll be tired and groggy, but you just have to force yourself.

      Also, you'll fall asleep pretty quickly since you've just been sleeping. Oh and if you want to do the audio thing too, go ahead. Leave a looping lucid induction in the background when you're sleeping, or if you have an i-pod or something use it like that.
