I had a great lucid experience last night that began as a very vivid experience before becoming lucid. When i reached lucidity, i found myself immediately conscious of all the felling and senses of my organs, namely my skin. I was on a large beach looking out to a small jagged peaked island immersed in water soo clear that i could see sand for what seemed like kilometres. The sensation of the sand and water warming my feet and legs as i stood in it and the many females frolicing in and around the water gave me such an immense feeling of elation.

I told myself that the dream i had i would concentrate on meditating instead of reaching for the first set of legs I could see---this proved to be much more enjoyable. As i sat cross-legged in the shallows looking out on this water, i noticed a watermark of a moon in the sky. It was daytime and the moon was still out except instead of being faint and dim, it controlled the horizon and the entire sky.

I remembered a few techniques that i had spoken to some ppl here about such as looking around at small details (the bits of sand), concentrating on the moment and sensations (warm water, sand and breeze) and not getting too excited as i realize how much further i could push the experience.

I think the meditation lasted for what felt like 2 minutes of my experience before i was approached with a sparkling, flowing body of perfection...I couldn't resist taking the chance and finished off the LD with a bit of naughty activity. All in all, i'd say its been one of the best LD's so far.

On a side note, I have read on here before that some LD-ers have had problems with others blaitant ignorance when it comes to understanding what lucid dreaming is and the possibilities involved. Last week i had one of my more slave-to-freud professors tell myself and the entire class that lucid dreaming was only and can only be brought on by a traumatic event. She went on to compare it as a psychological negative which only pain and frustration could come out of as a child or person involved in an event such as a natural disaster would dream so vividly about their experience thus inducing feelings of great terror.
I was dumb-struck by this comment and made an un-actioned choice of not saying anything as my resonse would have nothing do do with the lesson as a whole. Her comment was a side-note and very brief yet frustrating enough to listen to as most of the American Idol-izing, media worshipping students with lack of analytical thought ate up all the bullshit. Anyone else have stories about these kind of events?
