I had another lucid dream last night (shortly after re-visiting this forum).
It was interesting and yes I was lucid and aware but..

It was not the same as a full blown lucid dream. You guys know the difference, on one hand you might have the low level fleeting lucid dream, the ones that you barely remember amongst the normal dream state.

Then you have the medium level lucid dream state. A dream that may have several more factors that would increase it's level of awareness such as duration, imagery, level of control.

Then the full blown lucid experience! Walking around in a daze because of the realness of the experience, being able to change surroundings at will etc. The definition of reality becomes a fuzzy subjective idea.

I've had all three of these major states. When I was very active in my personal research it was more of the full blown states that I had expereinced. Once I slacked off (yep I admit it) my lucid dreams were shorter, or less aware.

I had a medium type dream last night. To quantify the different factors involved can be difficult however. Also just three states are really basic as there are many different sub-levels and factors that would better define these wonderous experiences.

      Any thoughts?

      Don
In the process of realizing the dream, abandon all feeling of fear; And, if the dream be of fire, transform the fire into water, the antidote of fire. And if the dream be of minute objects, transform them into large objects; Or if the dream be of large objects, transform them into small objects: Thereby one comprehendeth the nature of dimensions.
And if the dream be of a single thing, transform it into many things; Or if the dream be of many things, transform them into a single thing. - Tibet

I've had those type of dreams before, and although they don't have the same power as a full blown LD does, it's still pretty damn cool.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!

Unfortunately, I'd have to say most of mine are low-level, a few rare mid-levels, and I don't really know if I've had the top level. I would be happy just to have my full faculties, remembering everything that I want to try, even if I didn't have total power to change things. I think my best one was the first lucid task I accomplished (open-heart surgery). That was a long time ago.

      Hey!

I had a low level LD last night. It was a very intense action packed dream but when I went lucid I woke up! Those are the breaks for me at this moment. I have to keep working on technique. The best lucid experience was back in December I believe. It was one lucid dream after another! I was afraid that I was going to be tired when I did wake up (although it was the opposite).

I'm not keeping a journal at the moment and need to re commit to doing so!

I have a theory that I'm going to play with based on an experiment that Laberge conducted, with a bit of modifications to it. Also different strokes for different folks and all that. There is no universal magic technique. There are universal techniques that can help each of us to obtain lucidity, however any "surefire" method is bound to be personal in nature and as individual as the person experiencing it.

      Sorry to ramble!

Just some personal thoughts thrown in while I was typing!

      Happy Easter!
