Ok this is a really weird question i suppose, and it might be really stupid. But last night i was making some sweet lucid loving... and i suddenly got the horrible feeling that as i was doing this, my body outside the dream world was masturbating because of this. Is this possible? Im just curious because it would make for an awkward moment if someone happened to walk into my room. |

Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? -- Morpheus
Unless you're a sleep walker, you're in sleep paralysis while your dreaming. Unless you're a sleep walker, you don't have to worry about an embarrassing and awkward moment because you won't be making the actual motions you would when normally masturbating. |

It is pretty well established that the most vivid & easiest to recall dreams happen during REM sleep. Sleep paralysis comes along with it, so you'll be doing no sleep wanking (nice! while in REM. But, some psychologists agree, that we also dream in the deeper stages of sleep (stage 3 and 4) where we are not paralyzed. My psychology book says that while many people manage to move all over the bed during these sleep stages, some parts of the brain still monitor the real world, so falling off the bed is a relatively rare thing; also, parents who sleep with their infants manage to not crush the babies even though they move about the bed--uness they are drunk. These stages are where night terrors usually occur. Night terrors are pretty rare, they usually come about from some tramatic event in someone's life (my GF's little brother has them because he had surgery when he was a toddler, thrashes around in bed and tries to pull dreamed IV's out of his arms--doesn't remember it, but he's not a lucid dreamer so maybe its possible). Maybe you've had some really intense sexual experiences, so instead of night terrors you are having night pleasures (this film is not yet rated). |

When I say 'I see!' - I've opened not my eyes, but my mouth.
I've ejaculated in the bed, in a lucid dream. I guess you get both types then. |
