Ok,

Last night when I woke up in REM I got a drink and then turned on my Mp3 (ludremix). My cat kept bothering me while I was listening to it she kept meowing like crazy... When I got my cat out of the the room I layed down unable to get confy for about like 45 minutes the worst thing about it was my foot I don't know what it was but I kept tossing and turning it was like it had to crack but that wasn't it it was just bothering the hell out of me and I want some tips or advice to help me with this because it isn't the first time either.

      Thanks,
      Fale55

did this happen as soon as you got to sleep?

if so, then there is something wrong... are you oversleeping? doing too much exercise in the day? abusing any kind of drug? are you sick? did you eat/drink too much before getting to bed?

all those things could have created what you felt when going to sleep.. actually, maybe even the mp3 could have provoked it by getting you in a sort of headache

but if you had alreeady been in bed, motionless for a while, then it could be that you're simply not comfortable for some reason.. check it out

      stay lucid,

well, make sure you didn't eat anything that made you feel ill, that you stomach was ok, that you aren't oversleeping and that you didn't have a fever

sometimes it's just hard to chill down.. usually when we wake up and still have energy to waste, it's hard for us to get to sleep

about the foot, it could be because of too much exercise or something like that

it could also happen that you were too tired, and woke up when you were in deep sleep.. that can ruin your waking humour

if it persists, shoot your cat MWHAUAHAUWHAUAHUWHAUA

I know that feeling when your wrist or ankle feels like it needs to crack. But you can't and it's really frusrating: Like itch you can't scratch. It sounds to me, cuz I've experienced these kind of sensations alot during my months of Insomnia, that you're just being bugged by a general sense of Physical discomfort, restlessness and over-sensativity.
I have had this alot during the night which was what kept me from sleeping.

How about taking a hot Shower? It always works miracles for me when I want to relax my body. And another one: Drinka cup of Tea, preferably with middle eastern Mint. very relaxing and seems to get rid of physical and mental tention quite a bit. And if that sounds like too much trouble: have you concerned observing this feeling next time it comes and just UNDERGO it without trying to fix it and just lay still and relax? It takes a little practise but it'll learn you to sleep way through alot of physical discomfort.

It's also good for controling subconscious urges: try not scratching your itch while falling asleep. It's really hard at first but I got more disciplined and better at it and now I can easily sleep through itch and other discomfort. + Itch might actually help you stay aware during WILD attempts.

Thanks Kromoh, SKA, and FluBB. I mostly took what you guys said and mixed it all together but I got so tired last night when I woke up in REM that I fell back asleep before I could get my Mp3 going. Also FluBB can you post one of the relaxation URLs here because I can't find them.

      Thanks,

hmm, maybe try when you are really really tired, you won't care for the tossing and turning, you will also fall asleep quicker
