My favorite technique is to stare at my hands, trying to see all of their details and colors, until I do. This makes everything more detailed, and also is pretty good at restoring light to dark environments. |

I was dreaming last night when I suddenly became lucid. I immediatley realized I must be in my REM period because the dream was insanely detailed and clear, as if it was real life. I didn't want it to get all faded or wake up, but I wasn't sure what to do. I just walked up to this door and closley examined the detail. I though that might keep the detail going and make sure it wouldn't make the dream blurry. Is that the right thing to do in that situation? Is there some other technique I should use to maintain clarity in the dream? Should I have done the opposite and NOT have focused on the detail? Thanks for your help |

But I already had the clarity. I just wanted to maintain it so that It wouldn't get blurry. |

Oh, I didn't notice that. In that case, spinning is the best way to make lucid dreams longer, and in my experience, really vivid lucid dreams don't tend to fade until just before you wake up. Therefore, your best bet is probably to just try and prolong the dream. |

Yeah. Once I became lucid, I wanted to try to keep the dream as vivd as possile so that I wouldn't wake up. |

Yeah, when a LD begins with a lot of clarity it usually doesn't get blurry. Just keep doing stuff in the dream so you don't get distracted from it. |

Does screaming " CLARITY " actually help? I think I'll try it tonight |
|
I say 'increase clarity NOW!' to stabilize it. It works pretty good. |
