      Can't lucid dream

I have been trying for 3 days now, well almost 3 days. I listen to

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=34633

The lucid dreaming one as i am tired and try to go to sleep
but all i get is relaxed and even with it on my ipod as the only song and it loops throughout the night, even with volume on 1 it wont let me sleep, period! the last 2 days i have had to turn it off just so i can sleep. I have listened to it for 3 hours now, and i gotta get up in 4 hours and i've yet to be able to sleep at all, tired yet again so i'm going to sleep with it off now, so tired...so bloody tired.

I use the ear pieces, the ones that are just 2 tiny pieces that fit inside your ear. I hope this doesn't mean i wont be able to LD at all.

If it's only 3 days, don't get worried. It can take a while. If you're losing sleep from the mp3, take a break from it. Having a good night's sleep is probably more important for recall and lucidity than the mp3, and you'll feel better too.

Hmm, I would stick with something for about a fortnight before switching to something else. I wouldn't worry about not having a lucid dream in 3 days, my first one took about 2 months, and I know of othes that took even longer than that.

But is it even normal you can't sleep at all even when it's at the lowest sound?

      Way to discourage him :p

      It took me 2 weeks.

      ---------
Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had
      ---------

Not intended to discourage, but to encourage not giving up, I started late in life, brain connections diminishing, but I refused to surrender. If you want something enough, well, you just don't quit! I'm glad I kept at it, my lucids are something else!

Well, if it takes me a year and a half and still no LD i would be quitting forever. I'm not a patient person by any means. Besides, i got more things i want to do then LD like AP, OBE, meditate, WILD, etc.

I've been trying for almost a year now and have only had low-awareness lucids and I don't really consider them real lucids. My problem is that I don't actually try that hard. Hopefully I'll work on it more in the summer.
