Lucid laws of physics...unbreakable.
Obviously they are not, but for me they are! The four times I have had lucid dreams, I was unable to do the ONE THING I really have always wanted to do. FLY. I got good at making things materialize out of thin air by thinking about them, and expecting to see them behind me, then turning around and seeing it. But I can't walk through walls, or fly! Ever since I was a little kid, I always wished to god I could just jump up in the air and fly without any technology or anything.
I got into lucid dreaming initially so that I could fullfill that dream. Now I see how much potential lucid dreaming has for helping me overcoming some of my worst fears. But I reallly want to be able to do it. I can't. Every time I try its just like if i tried to in the waking world. I jump up, and go right back down. Any suggestions?

As others have said, a defeatist attitude is the first step towards failure.
Remember that each LD is a new experience. You cannot judge the possibilities of one by the events of those before it. You already know that anything is possible in a dream (lucid dream, in this case). So, take the knowledge of no boundaries and adopt that as your new attitude.
You will succeed the next time you try because there's nothing holding you back - literally. If you know that and accept that as fact you have torn down your greatest obstacle. There's no room for doubt. Remember, it's the magical world of dreams we're talking about here. Never let lucid failures taint your views of what's possible and achievable.
Think of it this way: Say you're trying to throw a basketball through a hoop. If you miss the first few tries are you going to start thinking that you can't do it? Of course not. You're going to always know that it's only a matter of throwing it until you get your aim and arc down correctly. You know full well that it's possible, your arc is just off a little bit.
In reality, sinking that basket is no different than breaking the laws of physics in a dream. It's only that dreams are intangible that it seems to be so.
