Things that can hurt dream recall.

      Hey Guys,

I've been into the whole Lucid Dreaming thing for a few weeks now. My girlfriend of awesomeness got me into it. And I've been doing pretty good. I've gotten really good at dream recall (good relative to what I could remember before), at least one a day, and I've even had one full Lucid Dream, and one - ha, well failed Lucid Dream [knew I was dreaming...didn't do anything about it].

Now here's where it gets frustrating. For the past 4 days I've been taking vitamin B6, and since doing so for the last 2 days I've started to wake up congested for no reason at all - I go through the day I'm not sick at all, it's just in the mornings and just since I started taking the supplements. And waking up congested like that is, I think, hurting my dream recall. For the past two days I've had NO recollection of any dreams whatsoever. It could just be a coincidence, it might just be stress from work, it very well might not even be the B6 causing the congestion. But that got me thinking? What are some things that you notice can absolutely kill Dream Recall, and are there workarounds for these specific hindrances?

      -Illness/Congestion - Any work-arounds?

-Stress - I've found just making the last hour before bed very mellow, relaxing, and also using low lighting can help. When I'm on the computer up to the moment before bed, or engaging in anything physically or mentally strenuous, I find it can hurt my chances of dream recall.

      -Others/Ideas?

So any pet peeves/solutions that people have come up with? Sorry if this has been talked about elsewhere, but I thought a fresh conversation with new insights might be in order.

      -Tom
