I think dream journals are great. Re-reading them afterwords helps me figure out what should be dream signs. |

Hey, i quit my dream journal for the exams and my recal began to suck about 2-3 months back, but over the past two nights i've remembered 3 vivid dreams on both nights, fairly long ones aswell with lots of detail and i'm quite eager to start it again, but my exams are not over yet and i got about 8-10 over the next two-three weeks, what do you think i should do? |

I am only just starting a journal but cannot remember if I dream at all. Maybe I don't sleep long or often enough. Just as a matter of interest a friend of mine wonders if lucid dreamng is only attainable by young kids or adults. Does it matter how old you are and does your age affect your ability to lucid dream? |

I think that anything recorded in your DJ has the potential to be valuable - so why not record it? Don't think of it so much as a "re-start" as a continuation. |

I started a DJ about 5 months ago and the only reason why is because funny things have been apearing in my dreams and yes i do have a good memory but not that good to remember every little detail so ya i think that they are a good idea especially if you have only just started LDing |

Age doesn't affect it, anyone can lucid dream, it's just hard for some people to do it for a first time and harder when you're on a dreaming dry spell in general. Some actually say that lucid dreaming becomes easier as you age. |

I like PJ's wording... a "continuation." If you're excited about doing it again, then go for it-- journaling is always a good thing, in my opinion. If it's the exams paired with the dream journal I wouldn't worry about it- write down what you have time for, what you think is important-- and then if exams get to be too much, adjust to what you think is best. I had a period of about three months where I wrote down dreams maybe... once a week, once every two weeks-- but I didn't really think of it as stopping and starting over every time. It was just... less than usual. |

Wow, maybe then I should read my DJ for once and I might get more lucid dreams, that's a nice story jankai, you're friend sounds smart |
|
Why did you quit it for exams? I find that it doesn't take that much time to record dreams |

I like to spend time writing down details and things i experienced in the dream, emotions and stuff, it takes me about an hour and a half to write down my dreams. |

I'm having my exams these days, and I have lots of spare time. I haven't studied for any of my exams, and I've done pretty good. Getting normal amount of sleep, my recall has actually gone up |
