I am not sure if this is somthing I am capable of doing again or not. I guess if I did it once I can do it again. I sat down at a local pub by myself waiting for my girl friend to show up. I ordered a beer and had only half of it gone so by know means was I impaired. Anyway As I sat there I started to zone out. There was a bartender talking to a man, and three other conversations going on amonst other people. When I snapped out of it I realized I had heard, coherently everyones conversation and all off the deatails as clear as day. It was bazar. It was nothing I had planned or tried to do it just happened. I have tried now four or five times when I am around a group of people to do it again but to no avail. Anybody else have an expieriance similar to this one?

probably just letting yourself zone out and letting your subconsious take control. Not sure exactly how to do this, probably using some sort of medatative technique, like clearing your mind. Your subconsious is always taking in all sorts of information that you may not even be aware of. I think you just somehow were able to think about everything it had just absorbed in that time period. ~Corbin

I can do that, too. Especially when I am annoyed everything just flows in. I amazed my mother one time when we where in a large gathering that I didn't want to be that. Told her how I was getting irritated and told her about five topics that where going on at the time, word for word.

Another theory is that perhaps he only thought he had half a glass...when he really had 5...so therefore he was so stoned his subconcious made him think he heard what he didn't hear.

That is really cool.... alot of times that happens to me, but in a slightly different way... lets just say ill be sleeping in class or something and a teacher is giving a lesson, i have no idea what the lesson is about or what the hell my teacher is talking about, but i would assume that my mind or body heard what he/she was saying but i just didnt know it at the time because i was sleeping then i will get a test or quiz or something, and when i look at it, i know the answers, as if i hear my teacher telling me the answer as im taking the quiz, i dont know its weird, but i know what your saying

A few other forum members said they could do that exact same thing in school. I do not recall the topic heading other wise I would look it up. You would find it interesting. thanks for the reply.
