      Fuzzy dream head.

Ok, I guess that title may be abit misleading but anyway...

For the last couple weeks I've been thinking a lot about dreaming and lucid dreams. I've read Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming, as well as many many websites on the subject. I do reality checks regularly throughout the day, have been keeping a dream journal which has accrued about 20 dreams. I've also found several of my dream signs which I now look for/create during the day and subsequently do a reality check. I feel farely saturated with the whole dream business about riight now. I also think I have a very positive attitude about it and am not in a big hurry.

So my question is.... When I dream it's a very fuzzy afair. I never see myself, I rarely actually see anyone else, I usually just know they are present, and my dreams are usually very jumpy, as in going from one thing to the next. I guess what i'm getting at is that doing the reality checks and trying to become more aware/paying attention during the day is great and all, and it's suppose to help you better recognize whe you are dreaming but... In my dreams the idea of noticing something is pretty much non-existent.. I'm dreaming at some point, and things are happening, but my awareness level is SO low. My dreams are pretty out there most of the time, and if I had even the slightest level of awareness it wouldn't be difficult to distingsuish them as such, but it wouldn't matter what was going on.. there could be a character repeatedly telling me i'm dreaming and it still wouldn't matter cause i'm so unconcious.. Only after I've woken up do I see what has been happening and feel a bit frustrated that I was so unable to notice anything... But i'm just so not there...
I have pretty good recall, and can remember 2-3 dreams a night, usually being able to write a page or 2 about each one.. and my dream signs are quite clear.. But like I said, when I'm dreaming it wouldn't matter, I'm just not at all aware it's happening until it's over and i'm in my bed journaling...

Is this how dreams normally are for most people? Will I become more aware of my presence in my dreams? Cause the idea of becoming lucid at this point seems pretty unlikely.... HELP!!!

Any responses would be greatly appreciated

Ok, this used to be my problem when having dreams, very fuzzy, little control over actions, but if you focus on your recall and loosen down on the amount you do stuff things will definately improve, if you do too much at once it will overload and you just won't take in some of it. Make your prime focus your recall because you will find that you will gain more control after working on it, the vividness will increase eventually, its worked for me so why shouldn't it work for you. Lucidity is what you make it, its not a chance, its more of a choice, take things easy and work on that recall and you will find you have more control, good luck

ALRIGHT! Thanks a lot, that's kinda what I was hoping to hear..
I was just wanting to make sure that I'm not the only one who has had this problem/is having this problem.

      THANKS AGAIN!

Another tip for being completely aloof in your dream is like said above get good with recall as that can help a bit I myself pretty much always have a lucid dream so I am good to go, but when I dont it's usually my mind set before I go to bed try repeating a phrase over and over before you go to bed like.
      "It's Not Real"
      "It's A Dream"
      etc.

I find that by doing that once I am actually in a dream I find myself saying what it was while I was falling asleep which in turn triggers a lucid dream.
