      Since attempting to LD...

Ive actually had no dreams, well, I dont remember them anyway. I read a lot about it one day, and the following 2 days I had very vivid dreams. But since actually attempting to LD, I can barely recall one. Maybe Im trying too hard? I guess that's possible. But I think you have to try as hard as you can to keep your mind on one thing, LDing, since my mind is always wandering. I dont know, but I feel like if I had a dream, I'd be able to realize it since all Ive been doing for the past 4 days is reading about it.

I guess I shouldnt be worried about anything, since Ive barely even gotten started writing my dream journal, it's just really hard to be patient when something so awesome is just around the corner.

      Que tal, Flea!

Try and keep your focus on recalling dreams, not lucid dreaming. The first step in lucid dreaming is actually recall. Your intention at night should just be to remember ALL your dreams (or as many as you can). Remembering your dreams also helps you recognize your dreams - possibly identifying a dreamsign, which THEN will help you become lucid through DILD.

Your enthusiasm alone has helped you remember your dreams for those 2 days - it's important not to get discouraged now by "trying too hard" - that leads to dry spells (and those SUCK!).

Just enjoy your dreams for now, the lucids will come in later.

You gotta learn how to kick the ball before you can score a goal - know what I mean?

Well I hope I dont have a dry spell, cause I didnt have a dream last night either. It's upsetting. Last night all I was trying to do was work on my dream recall, saying to myself I would remember my dreams. Sadly, I didnt.

that's exactly what happened to me! lately i've been telling myself throughout the day instead of saying "am i dreaming" and doing reality checks, I tell myself that I will remember my dreams that night. then i say it once or twice before i fall alseep. it helps... me at least. try to keep a dream journal, because for some reason when I write a dream down I can remember my next one more easily... dont know why tho, but it helps!

lol i remember when i first started i made a post almost exactly like this, cept for my post sounded alot more noobish dont worry. I first started posting here cause i had a lucid dream that night, but the next two nights i couldnt remember anything! i was trying all these techniques thinking i might have a lucid dream, but i hadnt worked on recall first! lol just focus on dream recall first. It wont come right away, but eventully you will start remembering
      Total lucid dreams=88

      Hooray!

Well, last night I had a brief dream, but I was over at my girlfriend's brother's house, so I didnt have my dream journal with me, and now I cant remember it all. I remember being in a restaraunt with these old ladies, and then everyone stood up for a moment of silence for some reason. One of the old ladies asked me if they should stand up, and I replied that it wasnt necessary to stand up for a moment of silence, since you can bequiet while you sit. Weirrrdddddd

I find that trying to recall right after awakening is helpful, and just lying there thinking. Or try to find one thing you remember, anything. And let the dream form...

Noob is like a new person to the forum. So basically he was saying he sounded like a rookie when he posted it.
