      Lucid Nightmare!

well it happened a while ago, but i still cant understand why it happened.

this dream was sort of a lucid nightmare, it was the scariest dream i ever had, i was in my room and i couldnt move at all, the atmosphere was scary and it set this mood that freaked me out. anyway i was in my bed and i remember that i knew i was in a dream, but i couldnt wake up. i wanted to wake up but i couldnt, i was sorta stuck in the dream and in this position on my bed stuck, so i got the idea to try to move my body parts, but it was hard, i couldnt move, i was like frozen, the only thing i could move was my eyes and mouth, so I kept moving them, and eventually i broke free, lifted my arm and woke up, in that same position i was in my dream. (except for the arm of course) i've had a few of these, probably like 2 or 3 of them, and these were horrible, i couldnt go back to sleep beacuse the minute i fall asleep, i cant move, and i have to force myself to wake up. i have no idea what this is, i've tried to look this up online, but i found no results.

whoa that sounds scary. im no expert since i only joined 4 days ago but since you know you're dreaming, why dont you stop struggling and relax. tell yourself its your dream and you can control it.

this is called sleep parylasis. it happens when you are falling asleep so that your body doesn't act out dreams. this happened because your mind woke up but your body didn't. if you find yourself having sleep parylasis again try to relax and maybe try a wild. you can find great ways to wild in the tutorial section. i personally like clarity's method
