Oh... don't worry about that... that's supposed to happen
The exactly same thing is happening with me. |

I've always wondered about the wrists feeling like theyre at a different angle. It happens to me all the time. Alot of the time I actually check even though it kills the WILD. I've never actually WILDed into an ld but i remember one of the 1st times i tried was when i was home sick from school one time and went to take a nap. I tried to WILD and after about 10 minutes I felt like I was being ripped out of my body. I figured i better check if my body had moved or whatever and check to see why the doorbell just rang (package). I figured if it was that easy the first time that I would be able to do it easy again but i've never made it that far again. o well. |

Wow, i've never really considered it before, but that's happened to me also! Still i've never gotten SP, but when i'm sick and i take a nap, all sorts of strange feelings of motion happen to me. Now that i think about it, that's also happened to me when i go to sleep after a long day on an airplane, it feels like i'm still moving and it intensifies as i go to sleep. There is a difference between the two for me tho, when i'm sick and i take a nap it's a lot more random, like getting jerked in random directions, and with the airplane thing it's just one constant direction, sometimes even a feeling of falling associated with it. |

yeah ive never actually flown on an airplane before (pathetic i know) because we dont travel far away. alot of times if we get back late from an amusement park i can still feel the rides moving me around and alot of times get that when u all of a sudden jump in bed (like u get from falling dreams). Its kinda annoying because im talking to a friend online who says he gets sp all the time without trying and was just telling me about how he took a nap and was in sp so he decided to try to ld and he stopped after he heard extremely loud "television fuzz" that freaked him out. The only time I hear sounds is sometimes when im laying in bed every couple of seconds i hear what sounds like waves crashing or some quick static. One night after playing lots of tennis (districts i think) that sound was actually changed to the sound of the ball hitting the fence lol. I need to take more naps and see what i can get to happen but my house is usually noisy (loud computer speakers, my brother is a drummer, my mom yells on the phone lol) so i usually try more at night. |

Thats interesting, maybe some people are just more naturally prone to get SP than you and me. I don't think i've ever heard noises when i'm trying WILD, but maybe that's because there's a fairly loud fan in my room that might be masking them. |

when i hear noises im usually just trying to fall asleep and not WILD so maybe its one of those things that im trying too hard. I would say that one good thing is that i fell asleep trying to WILD a couple nights ago so at least i know i can get relaxed enough. I have a fan in my room too right by me which isnt overly loud but i think its good to have to drown out sounds and help me zone out. The sounds I hear are not very loud above the fan but are relaxing in a way, kind of in a soothing regualrity. I remember alot of dreams but never have sp and i never have nightmares whereas my friend says he always has sp and has nightmares like everynight. I guess thats what he gets for listening to too much Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden lol. |

I've only tried it like 6 times, never actually fell asleep tho. The way it always ends is: I think i've gotten to a LD because i've reached ~150 in my counting, my HI stops and there's no images, i think maybe i've reached SP and i try to open my eyes or move an arm and its over. I don't think i could get to sleep in a WILD attempt tho. |

That's not sleep paralysis. If you relax well you'll feel this type of sensations, the most common ones are floating, body turning around in the bed, slight numbness, itching, electrical currents, etc. These are relaxation sensations. |
|
SP is typically unique for each person who attempts it. Note that numbness of the hands/wrists and sudden electrical impulses to your limbs are not themselves indications of SP, your body does that just to relax your muscles. |
|
Are you dreaming?
Can you open your eyes and remain in sleep paralysis? |
