Losing interest. Can someone please elighten me?

      Hey folks,

I was really adament about getting into lucid dreaming recently, but all of a sudden I've lost interest after having a few LDs and not having any substantial control or clarity/realism.

I've tried everything in the book from rubbing my hands to premeditated conscious focus on controlling the dream, but with no great avail.

Anything else I could try that might help with realism and control? I would really appreciate any replies.

      Thanks muchly,

      Craze

Heya! Have you tried touching your surroundings, like the grass, carpet, walls, etc, and really feeling the texture/temperature?

Usually touching a sharp object in the dream, or looking at the ground...spinning...any of those usually help me. Or just saying and really understanding "hey...this is a dream". That's how I flew the first time. Just have full understanding and no doubt whatsoever that you can do whatever you can think of.

for control, try staying in one place and absorbing the dream. Rub your hands together for clarity. it's easy to think that you must do all sorts of shit real fast in a lucid because it can soon be gone. I've found that the best LDs I have are the ones where I can simply be in the dream environment.

      STAY CALM

This was the biggest problem for me when I first started getting consistent LDs. I'd be so excited and happy, that I'd wake myself up.

Whenever you get a LD just act like it's normal and focus on a task. Don't think of anything sexual because that makes dreams fuzzy for some reason.

well Crazy, there are some things you can do

mostly, you cannot do things in dream because you havent done them in real life, so you don't know how it works

Tip #1: dream yoga. Practise visualisation and all that shit.. A clear dream is easier to control

Tip #2: have in midn what you want to do in dreams, and practise it in Real Life. If your problem is with flying, try to simulate it while swimming. If it's with pyrokinesis, watch some Xmen movie. If it is with summoning things, read BillyBob's tutorial on dream control

      This should get you going

You can do what everyone has said although you could always take a break for a while to cool off and give it another go after a bit. And who knows if you have some LD's while you are taking a break that is just an added benefit. If you get to worked up and angry about it, it will actually be a detrement to the process rather than a help.
