      Almost lucid?

I keep having dreams...every single dream I have I know that it is a dream, but I am not lucid. It's very difficult to describe. It's almost like, I know it's a dream, but I participate in the dream my subconscious wants to have anyway.

Last night I had a really weird dream where my jaw was locked OPEN and I couldn't close it, and it was agonizingly painful. I knew it was a dream, at which point I decided to wish that there was something physically forcing my mouth open so that I can remove it. It worked, and I removed it. A friend of mine was in this dream, and I wanted to tell her I liked her but I was too nervous to...even though I knew I was dreaming. It's really hard to explain.

It's like even though I know it's all a dream, it's like it doesn't really click with me that it's a dream, you know? I feel that this is just one step away from a full blown lucid, but how do I get to that step?

I've had a few of these lately. I think it might have to do with LD's being so deeply ingrained in our subconscious after getting so involved.

I have reoccurring dreams where I literally tell a DC, "Don't worry, I'm dreaming."
After saying this I go about my random non-lucid business.

Makes a really frustrating 'Wait, WHAT?' moment upon waking. :p

Makes me question the clarity of the line we define as lucidity.
Have you heard the gypsy hymns in the odd hours of the night?
