I just had my first [second?] lucid dream last night!!! I had to share it!

But, before I go on...

About a year ago I was introduced to the idea, I began practicing dream recollection and was able to remember my dreams better. I never attained lucidity and so the concept faded.

About 3 months ago, I StumbledUpon this site, and began trying, for a month or so, using the following techniques:

  • Checking Digital clocks periodically, to ensure their consistency
  • Asking myself periodically "Am I dreaming?"; evaluating my present environment to ensure "real life"
  • After waking up from a dream, remembering it, and sharing it to others
  • Before sleeping, tell myself "I am going to have a dream, I will be dreaming"

I did have on dream, a few weeks ago, involving sliding downtown to find my father at a blues concert and having my ID taken by the old-lady blues club bouncer. She took it because I didn't look 12 on the I.D., and I chased her before some bald guy decked her and gave it back. then my friend Emily visited me in my dream downtown house. It was in a hick-town version of Chicago.

I was conscious, but I do not believe I had obtained lucidity during that dream.

Finally, last night....

I lost my L-Card :']

...

I was in school, in the media center hall. School had started after Summer vacation, and I was in my German II class; the classroom had two long office-style meeting tables, and the class was getting oriented, etc. I began consciously thinking..."Wait, Summer vacation hasn't even been a month yet...why is school already in session?". Suddenly, I remembered to check a clock, and looked at a digital clock on the table...I couldn't seem to concentrate on it; it kept morphing and changing. This when I had an epiphany. I felt mys stomach utterly drop, and I was filled with shock/joy/excitement. I halfway woke up at this point, but coaxed myself back to sleep. One of my main reasons for beginning lucid dreaming was to fly! The first thing I did was walk out of the classroom, and I flew about a foot off the ground through the school's hallways. In an "X" position [think jumping jacks". It was incredibly fulfilling, I'm glad this whole lucid dreaming thing finally paid off.

Anyway, I'm Steven. Nice to meet you all :]
