      How real are lucid dreams?

      Out of a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being your typical dream and 10 being fully awake and fully conscious what would you rate a lucid dream.

      1. My typical dreams are just as realistic as when I'm fully awake.

      That is pretty crazy how that can happen, hopefully you don't have a nightmare at that much vividness lol, but I suppose you can change that pretty quickly

      my dreams are very real. last night i was in a dream and i was going to do a reality check but then i thought how it couldn't possibly be a dream, but then i did an RC and it was one. i also enjoy nightmares, it just depends on what is so scary about it.

      so you guys are saying you're dreams are as real as real life. So if you think back on a dream its like thinking of what you did yesterday?
      If you're still alive prove it! Think!

      I would say mine are around 9, since In my dreams I feel like I'm fully conscious, but when I wake up, I just know im awake in the real world. I would think 10 would make you a little nutty. :p

      iv had a few dreams in which i thought i know i'm not dreaming but i'll do a rc anyway and was amazed to find out i was dreaming.

      It's amazing how dreams can feel so real at times.

      my lucid dreams tend to be about a.. 9? being very vivid? but I think my normal dreams are just as vivid. It really depends on the weather in that dream, sunny days are far more vivid than gray ones.

      i had my first lucid dream last night, and it wasnt very vivid, as a matter of fact it was about as vivid as a normal dream the only thing was i knew i was dreaming.

      Should the realness/vividness get better as i have more lucid dreams?

      it could, but I mean, are your normal dreams not very vivid? I don't thinki mine will ever increase in vividness, but mine have always been just as vivid as they need to be [like a RL environment with a deformed architecture].

      then they aren't real nightmares. Maybe you just enjoy them in retrospect. I think a nightmare isn't a nightmare if it's an enjoyable situation.

      yep. It was crazy. Everything was in the right place. I could hear the air conditioning, the door squeaked when it opened, the outside looked exactly right. it was amazing.

      my DILDs are about a 8.5 in vividness. My WILDs are about 9.5, and sometimes 10. Lately the vividness has gone down with WILD cause ive been messing around with them.
      Total lucid dreams=88

      A nightmare is a dream, in which bad stuff happens, like horror, splatter, monsters killing you and all kinds of stuff.

      I like these dreams, because they make me feel alive. I've not had a single nightmare for a year now though.

      Dreams can be more real, more vivid, and more detailed than waking life because you're not relying on your physical senses.

      My LDs were EXTREMELY vivid when I first started LDing. Now, they're still vivid but they don't last as long. I'm just not as dedicated as I used to be. I sometimes couldn't believe it when I woke up. I just kept laying in bed afterwards going "What... The hell was that!?"

      On a scoring level, my most vivid LDs were 10s. They were no different than real life. I also took lots of B6 and ate lots of fruits and things, So those helped, but it's just insane.
      WBTBs = 5
      DILDs = 17
      WILDs = 2
      DEILDs = 3
      MILDs = 12

      Total Lucid Dreams = 38
      Last LD = 02/21/08

      Well I can fly in LD's...but they still seem as real as can be. I do unrealistic things in dreams but seem as if they were possible to do in real life, it would be like that. So my point is lucid dreams are incredibley real. I had an amazing one last night
