Light switches messing me up

In my last lucid I realised I was dreaming, but in the dream I had just woken up, so I wasn't much into the lucidity mood yet. Therefore, I tried to turn on my bedroom's light through the switch, which didn't work as would be expected. I then proceeded to the my living room and decided to hit the light switch just in case. This time the light was on as soon as I hit the switch! I got a little freaked out by this so I had to do more RCs to be sure I was dreaming. I just don't get why the RC failed, could it be about unconscious dream control?!

Light switches don't always fail in dreams. Sometimes they work and sometimes they do completely random things ( in mine, they sometimes change the color of the sky) here's an experiment somebody did about it... http://www.lucidity.com/NL52.LightandMirror.html

Thanks, I thought light switches just wouldn't have any sort of effect and so it was pretty confusing for the lights to turn on. But that kind of answers it.
