      Wondering about something!

i read something about a thread that what you forgot in your consiousness could still be in your sub consiousness , and that you could find out what you forgot in your LD by for example asking your dream guide, and i was wondering, coudnt you for example, quickly read trough a book, and then in your LD read that book , or wont that work? or like quickly look at something, and then you can study it at your dreams.

ofcourse, i know this isnt fun to do in a LD, but was wondering if its possible!
i would try this out myself, but i havnt had any LD's , YET ^^

Well, I know you can remember faces and names and locations and things of that sort; I don't know if you could recall an entire book... but it's definitely worth checking out.

Some people think it's possible, search for "photoreading," which (if I understand it correctly) is basically just the idea that you can learn what's in a book by looking at it very quickly, absorbing it subconsciously, and "activating" it later on (which you could probably do in a dream)...

I STRONGLY suspect that it's not true, because claims to be able to read 25,000 words per minute seem a little bit extreme. I would have to see someone with no knowledge on a topic "photoread" a textbook or something and then be able to discuss it competently afterwards. But I really don't think that's going to happen.

I do believe that it's definitely possible to get some information in dreams that can't be consciously recalled, though. Like, I wouldn't be surprised at all if in a dream, you managed to come up with something like the name on the name tag of the last cashier you bought something from, for example. Or what colour shirt a friend was wearing when you went out together a month ago.

The sort information we just don't bother to remember in our conscious minds, but is probably still buried in there somewhere.

I can see a few problems with this... First of all, books and words often seem distorted or like gibberish in our dreams. Second of all, reading is inherently dull (compared to most dreams :p), therefore you risk loosing your lucidity. Lastly, dreams are short, so you may not get a chance to read much or to hear much of what a DC has to say. Hope this helps .

I think you could skim through a book, and ask your dreamguide about something to do with it, and they would be able to give you an accurate answer. I've done it before. I believe the dreamguide is the mind's metaphore for a direct link with the subconscious. I find that that's the best way to remember things that you can't quite remember.

I don't think is very possible. You have to at least be getting a grasp of what you are doing/seeing/hearing for it to cross over and become available in a dream. For instance with the book if you just look over some pages for 1 second and turn the page and repeat you are not going to be able to recall much of it in a dream. If you looked at all of the words as you went along however that's another story. However the detail of what you have read or seen and to be able to reproduce it would be very low quality or below average at best in my opinion.

Ah ok, thanks for the explanation! so i guess its just only for little things then!
still, when i finally get a LD ( Tonight for sure! ), could still be interesting to try, and see what my subconsiousness makes out of it!
