Reality vs Lucid dream vs Normal Dream

I want to get a better picture of what a Lucid dream is like.

Out of a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being your typical dream and 10 being fully awake and fully conscious what would you rate a lucid dream.

Please describe your answer in terms of awareness, vividness, brightness/color, and just overall.

In DILDs 7-8, in WILDs 11 lol.
The fact that WILDs are better is because I go directly from waking to dream and don't register any change in my conciousnes and it feels like I actually transcended to another plane of existance. Brightness, colour, sound differ and can usually be fixed.

mine are exactly the same My DILDs are not nearly as vivid as my WILD. although they are still more vivid than a non ld, which i would rate as a 3-4.
      Total lucid dreams=88

Difficult to answer. I've had non-lucid dreams that were unforgetable due their vividness and emotional impact, despite the lack of lucidity. And I've had WILDS more vivid and emotional than real life, but I could not recall the exact details of what happened. But then, my WILDS are distracted by intense chest pain, but I don't know what that's all about yet.

A Non-Lucid Dream looks just like reality does right now so I would give it a 10 this is in my case. A Lucid Dream is around 10+ Depending on how much I am focusing on something it boosts the vividness incredibly. The difference from a Non-Lucid to a Lucid for me is that my Non-Lucid's look like normal life and my Lucids have a lot more Color, Sharpness to things, and like Higher Definition and realism.

      Hey there,

In my opinion, you're comparing things that don't really compare. Consciousness in dreams is fairly independant from how vivid the dream is, or how colorful it is, or how bright or lifelike.

I've had dreams that were so vivid and lifelike that they made waking life feel grey and dull in comparison. I've had lucid dreams that were vague and colorless and where I felt as if nothing was real.

      And I've had the opposite.

And to make things even more complicated, I've had moments in my waking life that were very vivid and bright and where I was very aware, and moments in my waking life where I was hardly aware at all.

So its all relative, and not necessarily connected

      Just my 2 cents,

How often will you get that Lucid dream where its super real, and your super conscious? Possibly even more real than real life 10+ ?

I usually have early morning DILDs. I have had dreams that looked, sounded, and felt 100% real and were extremely vivid.
