      Grid

Ever seen the grid over the Earth when you get out of the atmosphere in an LD? I've seen it, silvery blue with glowing red light balls at certain regular intersections. Does anyone know what it means? Once when I was flying through it, a voice, a presence of some kind warned me to stay away from those balls-- which looked like red rubber balls to my perception at first and explained why but I can't remember now. Any thoughts, similar experience, insights?

Honestly, it just sounds like you were loosing lucidity due to concentrating on something in the dream that hard.

but it started with an alright scene.</span>

Interesting you should say that. Because I didn't lose lucidity. You can see and experience something vividly without losing lucidity. In fact, it takes concentration to hold on to it. Otherwise, you forget you're dreaming and lose it.

Maybe Paul accidentally touched one of those balls:p.

Haha Enid you have the craziest stuff. Do you think theyr'e real because your dreams sometime come true, because you think they're astral projections, or just because you think they might be important. Seems like you're worried about this stuff alot so just wondering. I usually don't make anything out of my dreams other than looking at my life and what it shows about me other than it actually being important and foretelling of the future.

It just depends on the dream, Phobia. Usually I work out symbols from my dreams as my subconscious just talking to me. Sometimes I'm just like, "Whoa, that was just wacked," and don't think much else about it. I'm not really worried about Paul or the grid. Fascinated by dreams, yes. I don't think I'm astrally projecting since these dreams don't have that real-life sense to them. But maybe my spirit just happens to be looking for things that aren't perceptible in waking life and picks up on them. Yes, sometimes my dreams do come true, but it's always dumb things that aren't at all important, like I dream I'm sitting outside at a cafe on wrought-iron patio furniture with my parents and the next day my mom calls and wants to go shopping and we end up having coffee (her suggestion) on the same patio furniture at a place we've never been before and then my dad shows up to join us because he happens to call her while he's in the area. Nothing important happens while we're there.
Posting both those topics at the same time probably makes it appear that I'm all concerned. The grid thing just really interested me since it was not a concept I had considered while awake before and it was extremely vivid. I was concerned about the Paul thing because of the crying girl and I believe in the wierd ways of fate. There's much more to the subconscious than just introspection.
I'm sure plenty of people think I'm crazy. However, I'm perfectly harmless and highly functional. Today, particularly bored.
      Cheers

Haha OK just making sure you aren't one of those crazies. I saw these two threads and they were both from you about stuff you dreamt that you thought might be vitally important to someone else but I guess I just misunderstood what you were really looking for.

Haha, i wish i could see the earth in as much detail, in my first ever lucid dream i took flight and i was above the earth and it looked like a childs painting, it was very basic, but it felt very empty, i remember that.

That sounds pretty cool, actually. In my LD's everything just looks like it would in real life. You just gave me a great idea. Dream in a painting!
