Thread: Dc's identity

Normally for me they are people I already know. Although when lucid they are DCs who I dont know. Rarely do I have DC's in dreams though, kind of like the scene from Vanilla Sky where he drives down New York (I think it is) and it is empty.

Shame as I like to converse with DC's. But when I find them, they are usually women, and very hot.

My ld's are usually populated by crowds and I'm with a few people that I
a)know in the dream but not in real life, b)know in real life, or c)both. Last night I was dreaming that I was with a few people in Japan or South Korea at a hotel with a courtyard swimming pool. The people in the courtyard, a couple hundred were all having some kind of pleasant ceremony, the ones outside the perimeter, another couple hundred were having a very somber memorial service. But I'm always in a crowd, a typical real-life mix of genders but the ages are near mine-- twenties and thirties in ld's. When older people are present, they are few and usually in some kind of leadership role. The crowds seem real. Only one ld where I was alone on the porch of the house where I grew up. Sometimes I try to "find" or make people that I know and haven't seen in awhile, appear.

The active dream characters are always people I know. I mean ALWAYS, which may seem quite strange! But more than that they are people that I see regularly, for example distant cousins, aunties, uncles and stuff don't turn up! It is my friends and my close family, and people from my town in general, who i see regularly.

Looking back that is not so strange as I suppose my brain is just relating back to and recreating people it knows well.

However, there are background characters, who are just there to "fill in the scenery" or something.

My DCs are usually people that have had a great impact on my life or people that I have just met, although I also seem to be quite devoid of DCs in lucid dreams.

Wel in my ld's normally there isn't much people around and they are mostly not people i know, just random dc's. I find that dc's are also normally older than me, i don't see much people around my age unless i go to a nightclub or something.

I usually have a couple of people that I know, but most of the people are just dream characters. There nearly always middle-aged, boring people. lol. The gender is usually balanced. All the people are usually just average looking lol. I hardly see anyone shockingly beautiful/handsome. Occasionally I'll see that but not really. Their usually quiet and serious, kind of menacing lol.

Yep, I usually see people I normally know. But in most of my lucid dreams, I see people I don't know, or people I haven't seen in a while. Funny how it works out like that.

I got every possible sort of DC in my dreams:

People that I know
People that I don't know
People that I think I know but don't really know
People that I don't really know but think I know
People that I know but are really someone else that I may or may not know

Young people, old people, beautiful people, ugly people, famous people, strange people, dead people, impossible people, you name it

It just varies greatly from dream to dream, but there's no such thing that I can detect as a common factor. Most dreams do have a fair amount of DC's in them (unless ofcourse the circumstances of the dream would make that strange, like say dreaming I'm in my house where I live alone).

There often aren't that many people in my lucid dreams. Often, I'm alone, and it can be very difficult to actually find anybody; though other times there are people, usually family members, I think. In some cases there are "strangers", although sometimes I feel like I know them anyway. It doesn't seem to matter, though; it seems I can just walk up any random DC and ask a question and they will respond like they know exactly what I'm talking about (or at least like even my oddest questions are perfectly normal ones to ask). I don't think there's really a set pattern to what DCs appear for me, though. It just varies.

Interesting topic Well in my dreams and lucid dreams i always seem to have my friends in it and sometimes my enemies, normally it is many friends, i'll often get a random appearance from a random actor or actress, i very rarely get any DC's that are girls that i actually know. Most of the girl DC's are just background characters.

My dream actors are usually people I know in real life.

But sometimes I meet other ones who I think I have always known, with faces I have never seen in real life, but yet they seem so familiar. That's the strange thing.

Perhaps they are people u know but ur dream maker has put different faces on them.
