      Brand New Lucid Dreamer

      Hey everyone,

I just stumbled across this site at work today, and found it pretty fascinating!!

I haven't read all the posts, of course, so maybe I'm repeating something and this may be slightly off topic, but I'm wondering how many people here experience the following:

Every morning, I always set the alarm for about 20-30 mins early, and hit the snooze button 2 or 3 times before I get out of bed. I always wake up when the alarm goes off, but can easily fall asleep again, and I usually have great dreams in these 9 minutes!!! First of all, I was wondering how I could possibly get back into REM sleep so quickly. And more importantly, does anyone also experience this... and can they have lucid dreams in this time period?!

I'd love to hear some responses!!

      Thanks,
      Cary

      Hi Slapshot,

Welcome aboard. Yes, we all dream vividly and easily in the last couple of hours before we wake up.
When disturbed, if not fully woken up, you fall back into REM easily.
It is at this time of the morning that I can usually induce LDs.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      Welcome!

Yup usualy get some nice dreams in those short times, sometimes disorienting though because the dream itself can last alot longer than those couple minutes in my experience.

Your other cycles shorten while your REM cycles get more progresseive over the night. By the time its moring, it would be really easiy to enter REM again because you went threw all the other cycles last night
