      Death in a lucid dream

Has anyone ever experienced death in a lucid dream and stayed asleep still? if so, what happens after that?

Technically in a lucid dream you would only be simulating death, you wouldn't actually die, if you just stayed asleep after that you would just wake up after you got the amount of sleep that you needed, nothing more, nothing less. If someone really died in real life because of dying in a lucid dream wouldn't someone have to have lived to tell the tale?

      Yup 3 times so far

first time a mobster shot my stomach,
and as i was fadeing out to wake up
i like came out of my dream body like my soul did and i went lucid lol.

second time a alien shot me through the head and blood pored over my eyes and as i was falling down to die and slowly fading out of the dream
i was like you know what fuck this im dreaming and instead of waking up i became lucid.

3rd time got shot in the back of the head and like before i went lucid

unluckly for me i barly ever have nightmares.

EDIT: rofl just reread your post you said if you where lucid
no i have never ever been killed in a lucid lol.
      cant feel pain
and you know its fake so i dont know how you could

seeker you kinda confused me there. i wasnt talking about actually dying in real life and i know it would be simulating it, all lucid dreams are just simulating events. but it would be crazy. I was just seeing if anyone has experienced dying in a lucid and just accepting it to see what would happen afterwards. like maybe going to heaven or hell or something crazy. I would think its possible but ive tried a few times by forcing people to shoot me and if i go with the flow, i black out and wake up.

edit: i got this idea because i read somewhere a while ago that the very first recorded lucid dream ever was by a man who died in an ld and stayed asleep after death.

I seem to always wake up after "dying" in an LD, but I think that if you keep sleeping you would likely just transition into another dream...or maybe nothing.

What happens next in the LD probably depends on your idea of what occurs after death.

Due to my lucid dream hobbies, i've died loads of times. Usually I will "wake up" - a false awakening... I've only just recently wised up to this during my dream state (when i was awake, i'd be all like "i should have known i was still dreaming" - but you dont always think logically in dreams)... Lately, I just kinda assume that i'll false awake when killed in a lucid dream - and generally will just go back to whatever it was i was doing in my dream - like another life in a video game.

No but last night, in what I was sure was the in-between hypnotic imagery and sleep paralysis I had this horrid feeling of death, like I was dying and on my way to hell or somewhere not very nice, scared the shit out of me!!!!

Interesting, if I ever become lucid again I'll have to try this out. (not that I actually want to die)
There is no real-life, there is only AFK.

I've died twice in dreams. First one I got stabbed to death in the chest and I became a "spirit" that had to detach himself from his body by following a dark tunnel with a light at the end. Second time I was in a house falling from the sky (weird I know) and the same thing happened.

The strange thing is, I don't believe in spirits/a soul so I dunno what's going on. And I've read that the tunnel thing is a chemical reaction to the brain shutting down so I get kind of scared that my brain is assuming I'm dead and starts shutting itself down (ie killing me).

Now whenever I'm about to die, it's a pretty good RC for me.

I was shot once but I concentrated on being invincible so just before I was able to stabilize everything before it went completely black.

I pretended to be dead lot's of times, just so that my enemy would leave me alone.

Sometimes I'm able to press a reload button, and sometimes I start a new dream or have a False Awakening.

In a dream I had as a child, I fell off a cliff, and went quickly to Heaven. It felt very real, and it was all terribly normal. I spent, according to my dream, forty years there, but of course the dream wasn't that long.

The sense of disappointment when I woke up was huge. I wanted to be dead again.

I had a similar experience when I was little. The afterlife in my dream was so amazing I was disappointed. That said, I've never died in a lucid dream before, It might be interesting to try it some time.

thats the sort of thing i was wondering/looking for. I want to try this but it's hard for me to not respawn like a video game, or black out and wake up.

the closest thing I had was when i was walking like in between 2 mountains on this narrow pass, i hit a spot that was uphill and this was during winter btw. there was a foot of snow and i was in a line of ppl walking. Anyways a huge wind gust came and I started falling. It felt so real; i've taken a 40-50 foot fall into water and just the feeling you get, it was like that tenfold. Halfway through the fall I became lucid, and I was like "fuck this, I'm waking up" and I remember hitting the side of the wall and then waking up
