The Idea Of "Seeking The Highest"

In Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming, LaBerge goes in depth into the idea of "seeking the highest" - deciding that you will seek out god, nirvana, the gods, or whatever.
He said interestingly, that many people report encountering whatever it is that they themselves have a personal belief in being the "higher power". A Christian, Jew or Muslim would perhaps meet an old man with a beard - a Buddhist would find nirvana etc.
I found this to be one of the most facinating ideas in the book. I have not really gotten around to this yet in a LD. I was wondering if anyone here has tried this, and what their experience was with it...

Hi, KxWaal! As a Christian, Ive had several religious dreams about various things that after much thought I figured out what the abstract meaning behind the dream was.. I've had dreams of girls transforming into serpants, being an Angel fighting demons in a war, chains holding me back from God, and having lucid dreams in which I seeked knowledge or guidance.
One significant dream was a lucid dream I had where I wanted to have a talk to God. I entered a cave, and God revealed himself to me in a voice. One thing tho, I only had these dreams when I desired them or seeked knowledge, as I said earlier. Despite whatever an individual's belief, if saught.. a higher power will be found.
