We will soon find out.... Dum dum duuuuuuuuum...
lol, spot on cammy!
on the question how to become "The One". Well Neo in the matrix is sort of the Chosen one to liberate all people's minds from this illusionairy materialistic reality; Pretty much a fictional take on a suject that is the reality of this world. To be "The Lucid One" you would have to have skill enough to LD at will and have full controll, master time dillation and have the ability to enter other mind's (friends') dreams and awaken&liberate them too.
At least that is what I, eventually seek to accomplish.
In the Special Features using the DVD as either a CD-rom or just as a DVD there's some commentary on the matrix and the dream world. I just never actually equated it specifically with dreamviews members. Good analogy!
Ps.--As you can probably tell, I'm an avid matrix fan.:D
wow i have never put it this way
hhhmmmm.....I dont know. How do go in the "matrix", by OBE. But not everyone will be in a universal dream, but just those who can OBE together. And this world isn't anything, huh, the dream world is the matrix. Its like a matrix within a matrix. I'm sorry, I keep finding loop holes in your theory. I want to believe it though, sounds like fun, just the thought of creatiing a Dreamviews Matrix sound great, but too bad its just a....heh.... a dream.
lol just read first post on this thats funny cause i use the name theone frequently its my hotmail address (kinda :dancingcow: ) but im not to good at lucid dreaming...
but wasn't no at the start, at controling and junk...
hey...i can finally have :hump: with Trinity :D:D:D:D she's so hot :D !!!
Yup, that's the way I've looked at it, since seeing the movie. It's a perfect analogy, as ExoByte said. :goodjob2:
Haha. Thanks, Vex!
Remember:
I could only show you the door.
You're the one that has to walk through it. :meditate:
Lol.
Woah. Hehe I call being Morpheus, he's majorly cewl.
*flies off in slow-mo*
Great link :D
Yes, he is. He has some really detailed, intense action scenes going on in there.
Many people believe that OBEs are only another breed of lucid dream. They believe the main difference is that the one experiencing it believes it to be reality, instead of understanding it to be a dream-like experience. But the intensity and vividness seems so much more stark than in external reality, much like the contrast between a normal dream and a lucid dream. Those are the people I agree with.
And, Oneironaut, I just saw your new sig. I like it. I recognise at least one of your characters from your art thread. Nice work
Heya,
Funny, the way I saw the original movie, back when it came out, basically Neo spends the entire movie long struggling in his dream with some low level awareness, until right at the end he finally becomes "Lucid".
Unfortunatley, then they made two other movies and our Neo promptly loses Lucidity again to end up in a dream where the only thing he has are a few special powers, but a complete lack of awareness again.
In short, he's completely new at this entire lucid thing and doesn't really have a clue :)
-Redrivertears-
Im a great FAN of Matrix . AND I LOVE THIS
I think we should try and have a giant "multi-player" game while lucid and out of body, of course the only pre-requisite to enter the game is you have to be pretty good at ld'ing and you have to believe in OBE's :) Whose in? ;)
It's official..."The 'Lucid' One" would have the abilities/skills which are...(but not limited to):
* Dream Time Dilation - (Able to stay in the dream from seconds to years if s/he chooses)
* Dream Sharing/Walking - (Able to walk into others dreams and let them know they're dreaming/free their minds)
* Full mastery of Lucid Dreaming - (Able to connect with his/her subconscious focus at will allowing him/her to LD at will)
* Full mastery of Dream powers - (What "The 'Lucid' One" can/will do would make Neo look like a punk)
I too have thought about the Matrix when considering LD. Although, I'd be more inclined to think that the dreamworld itself could be compared to being in the Matrix. Although there aren't people wandering around in the dreamworld believing it to be real, I wonder if the Matrix, and the ability to control the world around you, was actually based on lucid dreaming.
Don't get me started on the third movie though, where Neo can control the real world too? Pah!
WOW. I mean WOW. Brillant idealogy! I love the Matrix, hence my name. When i first came here i posted a topic about "Dreamhacking", my view on lucid dreaming is just like hacking the matrix.
