It sounds like you were visted by the SP hag. For some reason, initial experience with SP is often accompanied by fear and/or scary imagery. It's like the whole world is suddenly turning dark, or an evil is being let loose that will completely consume you. This may be the origin of the whole succubus/incubus myth of medieval times.

But it doesn't really mean anything, and if you don't take it seriously the experience tends to quickly fade. Just treat the fear as a good sign that you are ready to transition into full lucidity.

As for the false awakening, I think that is pretty common in lucid dreaming. It may be that WILDs tend be conducive to false awakenings because one tends to transition to one's bedroom (or a version of it) where one is still lying down (since that was the last memory). The first big hurdle is to recognize these false awakenings. I've wasted a bunch of time trying to get to sleep in a dream after I've already fallen asleep. What I am currently trying to do is to remind myself before I go to sleep that I will probably dream that I am in my bedroom or motel room trying to get to sleep, and this is a sign that I am dreaming.

As for looking like a normal human, for what it's worth, last night I was examining myself in a mirror (while I was lucid), and I noticed alien looking, pointed protuberances coming out from either jaw.
