lucid dreaming for all, the 'other' forum(s)

im a newbie but im loving this site, the reason i have just joined is because for some schoolwork i was googleing lucid dreaming, i havnt done this for awhile, although i have seen this site before i had always thought it was the same as another forum site i have been a constant member of for awhile, i dont know if you will know of it- ld4all However i looked around for awhile here and have now joined this site and am pleased that i did, this site is very comprehensive of lucid dreaming has has much that ld4all does not, but... it works the same way backwards, ld4all also has alot that this site does not. I have a feeling that there may be an influx of new members in the next short while if as many people read the last topic i posted on ld4all in which i hoped to tell people that they can gain alot more if they make use of all the knowledge available by all 3 lucid dreaming forums. did i say 3? yes there is another one you might have heard of http://dreamofpeace.net/sealife it is different to these two (ld4all and dreamviews) in that it has dream teams of about 8 or so people, and no-one else can access your teams forum, its a good idea, and dont get put off by the apparent spirituality of the site. I am very confussed by the fact that a word search on ld4all does not come up with very many results for dreamviews, and vice versa... do the members of both forums have knowledge of the other? and in the topic of lucid dreaming links there is no ld4all... if anyone whats to see the glowing comendation that i posted for dreamveiws on ld4all (and also to my dreamteam on sealife) than just ask and ill post it. if there is an unspoken form of alleigence here(and probably there) that i have missed than could someone tell me b4 i get myself kicked off

i believe most of us are aware of those guys. i have an account at sealife because i thought the science side of what they do is interesting but i'm not active at all. and i've never signed up at ld4all because i already have 3 other forums (not counting sealife) that i frequent and i don't need another. i might check it out just to compare but i love my dreamviews. *kiss kiss*

I seen the first one before but not the second. They have a nice site too. They seem a little different, I would read there more often but I also read way to many forums. Doesn't help any that theres so many sections to just this one heh.

Yeah the sealife is pretty cool but there are so many sections Right now I'm just active on Dreamviews (cause I'm obessed with lucid dreaming, and nothing much really, lol)

join a dream team on sealife and then you only have one forum for your team, its actually pretty cool having a small selection of people with a forum to yourselves. i think you have to put your name down in a topic and then you are assigned a team. hey is anyone here a member of ld4all? or sealife?

Im a sealife member (im in team2 :-) ) its great being in a dream team, but Ive never been to ld4all because i just think why post on 2 ld message boards? I signed up to sealife because its something a bit different, if I want a normal ld message board i post here :-)

Hi I've found here reading sme_bros post at LD4all. Probably I won't really start posting here, since like you guys I also visit several forums already. I am a bit surprised though that there is another big forum like LD4all and I never heared of it (I am into LDing for 2 or 3 years now, using the internet quite a lot). So, just wanted to say hello, nice to know we at LD4all aren't the only lucid dream addicts out there greets tapir

I'm still thinking about making tracts and leaving them in the restroom at Wal-Mart =P So far, I only have shared with a few close friends. However, one night while we were all eating dinner, my wife did mention to my daughters boyfriend that I could control my dreams. Same old tolerant smile..... Sigh... EDIT: Hello tapir!!! Altough us Lucid dreamers do have lucid dreaming in common among other things. I think such an influx of different people and personalities would be detrimental. This forum although growing very rapidly has a core that has a unique abiltity to work together to help each other and the newbies that arrive.

true but it would not mean a melding of the forums, it could be as subtle as the bonding that sea-life and ld4all have, the only hint that they are connected is a link in the top right corner to sea-life, when the link was made between those two it was thought to be a positive thing, and it was.but i worry that part of that reason is because sea-life is so different but dream views and ld4all are so similar... Should there be a poll?

i'm surprised that we don't have a link in the "LD Information & Links" thread. it's a good source of info regardless of forum activity. this is really something that admins should discuss then bring it to a vote.

Wow - I checked out SeaLife... very spiritual, I like it. I think it'd be a great idea for the sites to make an LD network. We'd be neighbors.

So what you are proposing is linking the two sights via a link not necessarally combining the forums and all tha info? Or am I still of base?

The idea does have some merit, however let's just keep the status quo for the moment and see how things look in another few months. We are still experiencing growing pains right now. So far, we have been the new kid on the block and in the past few months have just begun to develop a culture and identity. I hesitate to blur the lines too much before we really find our who we are and what me might become. Sound like a plan?

I find it hard to grasp the benefits of "merging" or "allying" or whatever. I mean, both forums cope perfectly fine as they are now and merging/allying/whatevering could end up with just a load of pains then a total outcome of enteriely nothing. Although icedawg + seeker will be pleased to know that some members of the ld4all forum believe our main page looks much more professional and streamlined then theirs (woo).

yeah, i say we establish ourselves before we run into something like this... we're only a year old! lets not be young and stupid. it would be like getting the full back tattoo the day you turn 18... might not be a good idea.
