So close!!!

The last two nights i have been so close to achieving lucidity. The night before last i was watching tv and i decided not to do a reality check when i was just about to, and last night i was dreaming i was on dreamviews and i decided to do a reality check so i counted my fingers and there were 5 on both hands . That was the first time that reality check has failed me as far as i can recall, so i am reaching for my nose to do the nose plug and then i get distracted by something . I find this happens alot and i am training myself never to get distracted by things when performing reality checks but it didn't pay off last night. It seems like there is always something stopping me becoming lucid. 11 days!!!!!! This isn't funny any more. Type in your "so close" to lucidity moments, and also your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I've had several non-lucid dreams about lucid dreams. I've also spent a dream staring at my digital watch (for some GPS thing). Since looking at a digital watch was a heavily practiced RC for me (in dreams, you cannot read the figures) this annoyed me when I woke up. Oddly enough, I've also had failed RCs. I awoke once at 2:53 pm, I believe. I stared at the time for a while checked all the digital clocks in my house, because I couldn't believe how late it was. As all the clocks were clearly displaying a consistent time, I resigned myself to getting breakfast/lunch. Then I woke up.

The other da i decided to just observe my surroundings all day and look for oddities but i then just dreamt in all of my dreams that i was just observing everything but i wasn't really aware of what was around me, it was strange.
