Brainwave entrainment - does it really work?

Does it? I have BWGen and it dosen't seem to work for me. Does it only work for certain people? It would be really nice if it worked because it might let me have lucid dreams more often . Has anyone tried it? Does it work for you? Maybe it is the placebo effect? Thx, Micky.

I use it to relax and get my ming into a receptive state so that I can plant suggestions to recognize when I am dreaming.

Let me know a little bit about which presets you are using and how they make you feel.

I am going to try the LD Test preset tonight - it seems good. Nearly everyone that has tried it has had Lucid Dreams that night. Have you tried this one Seeker? If so could you tell me did it work for you?

I don't listen to it at night. I cannot stand to have anything on my head when I sleep.

      Good luck with it!

Try some of the Alpha or Theta meditation presets during the day and when you reach a state of relaxation, fix in your mind that the next time you are dreaming, you will know you are dreaming. This is what I do with it.

Thanks. I will try that. How would I be able to burn it to a CD Seeker because altogether it is 95 minutes? If I lower the quality it might not send out the correct frequencies. What do you think? I don't have an MP3 player I can try it out on.

Are you supposed to rename the file when you download it? What do you open it with?

95 minutes! One problem is that you need it to begin playing about 6 hours after you go to sleep.

If your CD player had MP3 capability, you could encode 6 hours of silence. Don't worry about the quality, it is a simple waveform. Lowest bitrate you can get should be OK as long as you don't choose mono.

I lowered it to 79 minutes so it would fit on an 80 minute CD - would this affect the effect? What if I put it on repeat Seeker?

Scwiggle - You have to get BWGen - the full registered version. Costs $40 I think. You need it because you have to import presets. You cannot do this in the shareware version.

Ah I kept it 95 minutes but lowered the bits per sample rate to 8. The default bits per sample is 44100. Is all that OK? This will let it fit onto a CD. Will it give the same effect?

Is it wise for admins to distribute muffin recipes?

If so, could I have some muffins too?
In this crazy world if they don't consider you mad, then you have no confirmation of your own sanity, do you?
Imagine if this crazy world thought you were sane?! Oh my God, worst nightmare!

I tried going to sleep with this one.. didnt work. How can I encode 6 hours of silence? I Encoded it to a file of 120 mb, but it shortened it to 89 minutes (I have an mp3 diskman) so will it still work?

I really want to try this out sometime. I dont like the idea of sleeping with headphones on tho, what if I roll over in the night and strangle myself on the cord?

You could just put it on repeat.

Hey instead of headphones, get a set of mini speakers. They're super super cheap. Mine were ten bucks at Best Buy.
