As much as I doubt you remember me, I have returned from my 'break.'
After reaching a rather desirable consistency with my LD's, I happened to upgrade my TV. Apparently there was a reason when your parents told you not to sit too close...
I spent a couple hours watching the plasma screen at about 5 feet (I have really horrible eyesight, and not fond of eyewear.) Woke up the following morning quite sick with a minor headache. Of course, the first two things I did were 1. Try to eat leftover mexican food, and 2. Start reading off of the computer.
Anyway, as some might guess, this escalated into a really horrible migraine. Quite honestly thought I was going insane, as I couldn't seem to form the words I had in my head (A common symptom, so wikipedia claims.)
More to the point, my recall, dream vividness, and overall Lucid ability was, well... shot. Or so I thought...
After a month or so of little to no real effort to regain my abilities, my dream recall and vividness began to advance back to the state at which they were at the height of my LD'ing experience. It seems to me that the conditioning we impress upon ourselves is more or less long-term. Granted, this was only two months.
Shortly after the recall and vividness had completely returned, some of my actual LD regimen began to come back. Since the incident, I have had 5 or so Lucid Dreams. In these, I have found myself playing much more into the dream than previously, and I have to admit, they are much more enjoyable. I suggest everyone who finds themselves to break the tide try to simply enjoy the moment, you may find a new kind of pleasure.
Since these events, (My thanks to those still reading) I have been a bit preoccupied with classes starting again. While there, I have found myself searching for other Lucid Dreamers among the crowds.
A close friend of mine, whom I believe to have recently joined ('The Bear'), had some basic knowledge. I gave him some of the more general information, and the following night he had his first Lucid. Quite a envious turn of events for the many newcomers I have seen around, it seems. I will not divulge his story too much, as that should be for him to describe.
I have little more to say, but I plan on staying right here for the long haul. I have done some reading into 'Astral Projection.' Not completely a believer, but a good read nonetheless (I highly suggest the online book, http://www.robertpeterson.org/obebook.html, for those curious.)
I may head over to the adoption center in the near future, likely as an adopter (Perhaps as one to be adopted, though I would like to think my experience so far could be found valuable.)
Many more thanks to those still reading, and I hope to see you around!
