how do u fall asleep with ur eyes open, i tried it bout 2 times but all i got was lucid dreaming. |

You can't. As some point, your eyes will close, and you will transist into a dream-state. You can't feel and you won't notice the transition. You might notice differences later on, like a big window in your ceiling, or your body getting lowered into the bed. You've successfully fallen asleep with your eyes open, but at this point, your eyes are closed |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

Your eyes would like dry out. I wouldn't do that if I were you. |
|
Well shit, you got a lucid dream out of it, so keep it up. Unless you don't know what lucid dreaming is and you didn't really get them out of the experiences... I dunno. |
|
Is there some sort of logical reason you'd want to do that? Besides "impressing girls", that is? I'd guess the answer to be "No" and the result to be "the girls won't be impressed one bit." |

I see. Well i got this question from that other guy who said he slept with his eyes open who posted a thread about his experience. |
|
Was it a LD experience the guy in the thread talked about? There are ways of inducing LDs by keeping awareness as long as possible when falling asleep. Keeping your eyes open could be one way of doing it. Ofcourse once you fall unconscious your eyes automatically close. I doubt he was talking about keeping your eyes open the whole night. As the wiki link idicates, it's mostly used for meditation or some sort of relaxiation. It also says that you'll damage your eyes if you do this sort of thing and most of the causes for the condition don't look very nice. |

I cant fall asleep with my eyes open, but at some point in the night I do open my eyes. I've been told by many people that i sleep with my eyes partially open. It tends to frighten most people who witness it and most tell me they tried to talk to me because i actually looked awake. I cant offer any tips cause i have no clue how or why i do it. I also believe it contributes to my sleep paralysis which can be a terrifying experience so i dont recommend pursuing this skill. |
