Thing I've been questioning for such a long time. There were these occasions on my LDing attempts in which I could somehow "provoke" REM sleep by VILDing. Now I just have to wonder: is it completely possible?

I believe it is. By stimulating your thoughts and disclose fro myour physical body, I believe our minds enter REM sleep. Which means, you can induce REM sleep by stimulating sensations (such as "sinking into your bed" or "feeling the vibrations" when WILDing).

Unfortunately I'm trying to adapt to polyphasic sleep, and I won't be trying WILD not to make adaptation harder. But I'm pretty much interested in this.


Through REM sleep stimulation, we could not only induce LDs more easily, but adapt to new schedules (such as polyphasic sleep) faster. What are your views on it?
